Bright, bold, and full of imagination—alebrijes are one of Mexico’s most fascinating folk art traditions! 🇲🇽✨ Originally created by artist Pedro Linares in the 1930s, these dreamlike creatures combine elements from different animals, painted in vivid colors and intricate patterns. 🦜🐉🦄

In Oaxaca, artisans carve alebrijes from copal wood, turning them into one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Each one tells a story, blending fantasy with Mexico’s rich artistic heritage. 🎨🔥
