CAMPECHE AIMS TO ATTRACT MORE TOURISTS AND BUSINESS FROM THE NATIONAL MARKET
Campeche continues to strengthen its tourism strategy to attract more visitors and expand its presence across Mexico. The state participated in the 2026 Mexico City Meeting of Tourism Professionals (EPTU), where it held business meetings with travel agents, tour operators, and representatives of the tourism industry.
During the event, the Campeche delegation promoted some of the state’s main attractions and tourism experiences, including the Sun and Beach, Maya Colonial, and Camino Real routes, as well as the Magical Towns of Candelaria, Palizada, and Isla Aguada.
Campeche also showcased its archaeological and colonial heritage, gastronomy, nature, biodiversity, community-based tourism, and sun-and-beach experiences, with the goal of encouraging more travel agencies and tour operators to include the state in their travel packages, circuits, and itineraries.
The participation provided an opportunity to establish new business contacts and generate opportunities to increase visitor arrivals and boost economic activity for local tourism businesses and service providers.
The Campeche delegation included representatives from the state’s Secretariat of Tourism, as well as members of the hotel, tourism, and service sectors, including Héctor Cámara Mijangos, Daniel Alberto Escobedo Pan, Guadalupe Irazú Acevedo Solís, Joycer Charles Nava, Francisco Farrera Rodríguez, Juan Luis Mena Lira, and María Fernanda Salazar Rivero.
With these efforts, Campeche is seeking to strengthen its position in Mexico’s tourism market, promoting collaboration between government and the private sector to turn its destinations and experiences into increasingly attractive options for travelers. 🌴☀️🏝️
