Malaysia's semiconductor exports to the United States are not currently subject to retaliatory tariffs, although such exemptions remain conditional on evolving U.S. trade policy, Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz declared in Parliament today. He stated that this sector—which accounted for approximately RM 60.6 billion of Malaysia's RM 119 billion electrical and electronics exports to the U.S. last year—is still enjoying zero tariff treatment for now.
