As the picture says;”don’t forget to use the Geo-tag”!

If you start using the geo-tag you will be able to leave a footprint for others to see that you have been there.

So why would that be a good idea? Depending on your business it could be very lucrative to post and geo-tag if your work can be located to a specific address or area/region. This way you will be able to reach more potential followers and clients that live or work in your area.

Together with the geo-tag you should apply some local hashtags in order to magnify the effect. If you find matching accounts that perhaps bear the name of the city/town or area that could even enhance the effect further.

By posting regular content that adds value to your target audience, you are making your brand accessible to both current customers and potential customers. When a new follower reaches your profile they should be able to learn who you are and what you offer. Frequency is the key! ⏱️

Research your hashtags!

As a hotel you should mix your hashtags with geotags, niched ones, branded and non-branded and hashtags that describe what you see in the picture. Try not to be to general like ”bed”. The hashtags will help your photos gain more exposure and awareness on Instagram. Try throwing in a few popular travel hashtags as well. Just remember to not go for the biggest ones.

As a hotel it’s even more important. I recommend posting at least daily and even multiple times a day if your audience is spread around the world.

🚫One mistake that agents make with social media is only posting home listings. This provides no real value to anyone that isn’t currently in the market to buy a home. You need to share value-rich content.

Things on Instagram evolve pretty quickly (especially they have in 2018…), but one thing that hasn’t changed is the importance of hashtags

To this day, building an effective hashtag strategy is one of the best ways to get your posts discovered by new audiences on the platform, and depending on how targeted your hashtags are, this can mean more engagement, more followers, and even more customers.

There are many different ways to work with hashtags but one that I suggest all my clients is using all possible 30 to reach a larger target. Whether you put them in the caption or in the first comment is up to you but all in total there cannot be more than 30 of them.

🔥🔥🔥Did you know that 91% of brands are using more than one social media platform? Don't fall behind your competition! Just make sure you know what to post and where you post it. It’s more important to deliver relevant information than being on too many platforms. If you lose control you will steer out of course.

Unlike other marketing platforms, social media allows for two-way communication with your audience. It's a great way to build personal relationships with your followers and customers. Take advantage of that!

Make sure to interact, answer comments and play along. It sure takes time, but it is so worth it!
