When someone asks me what family means while living in a foreign country, my answer would be Wave 10.

I’ve met countless friends in this country, in every place I’ve been, but I’m learning that even those you thought you belonged with in the same community can still make you feel like an outsider. Ironically, it’s the community made up of people from different backgrounds and beliefs that has shown me what family truly means.

Grateful for each one of you, my Wave 10 dearies! A few are missing from these photos, but the blood of family still runs through our veins. Love you all!

I think I’ve found my go-to beach that’s not too far from my place. 🤗 With my laag buddies who don’t mind getting a few shades darker, we soaked ourselves in the water from sunrise to sundown. Dili pa gyud unta muhawa sa tubig kung wala pa gipamaak sa jellyfish. 😂😂Even the jellyfish were like, “Hey, you’re overtime!” 😂😂
