Saudi Arabia is gradually turning science fiction into reality with a $1 billion stadium suspended 1,150 feet above the ground—right inside NEOM’s vertical megacity, The Line.
With 46,000 seats and no roads in sight, this gravity-defying arena is set to host matches for the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Fans will arrive via high-speed elevators and AI-powered vehicles, embracing a whole new experience of sports entertainment.
Construction is set to begin in 2027, and the stadium is expected to be completed by 2032, ahead of the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
