Even with this concept, it has been reworded, restructured, rephrased, recycled countless times but the meaning remains the same.

Sure there are many businesses out there that sell the same things, creators that are in the same niche, but one thing's for sure is that we all follow certain people for different reasons.

Whether that's because the creator/seller has a similar sense of humour, great sense of fashion, wonderful aesthetics, they're informative, they have a lifestyle that you look up to, they share the same values/morals or that they have what the young people call "good vibes"

Ultimately, what makes you stand out is how authentic you are, which can be expressed in many different ways. So, where do you stand in your content?

A lot of things have been happening behind closed doors, to keep it short, I have been involved in a virtual summit, I have been doing more than social media work which is pretty exciting and challenging at the same time 😮‍💨

As an aspiring digital marketer, I always have a love-hate relationship with social media 🤓⁠

No matter how much I feel like I need to keep myself on the line with social media, I still try to put my phone down and do other creative things, do things without relying much on social platforms ⁠

and I keep telling myself, it's okay to not be active all the time because I won't really miss out on anything. period. 🤗⁠

Of course some of these may work for other people but in general you don’t want to be participating in these “strategies” because it will hurt your engagement in the long run.

I have a story for this, one of my client from Fiverr needed help with removing almost half of the followers because their client made a mistake by buying followers. Now, even tho they have around 13k followers, they usually only get about less than 5 likes on average for their post and almost no engagement.

When people say, “oh just dont play with your phone lah easy” or “wah can get addicted one ah” they don’t realise that everyone has a different level of self-control. Some people don’t even know how to control because they weren’t taught to and we can’t really blame them.

One thing for sure is that all these digital technologies are here to stay, whether we like it or not. Which is why it’s important to also be digitally literate no matter what.

So, take care and stay safe!
