Malaysian4Wheelers X EIGER Merdeka Explorer - Part 3: The Final Stretch

The adventure winds down, but the memories burn brighter than ever.

We kicked off the night with a scrumptious BBQ (by chef K-ROG) and a lively Merdeka countdown party under the stars. Laughter echoed through rounds of Charades, and guitars strummed the rhythm of unity as we sang our way into Merdeka.

The next morning, we packed up and broke camp with hearts full and spirits high. The convoy rolled through the final offroad sector, and before we depart FELDA Selancar 2, we made a meaningful stop at a local SME, supporting community, culture, and connection.

Resuming the convoy back to Kuala Lumpur, we stopped at RnR Seremban Northbound, following heartfelt goodbyes, we exited the convoy, carrying with us not just the dust of the trail, but the bonds forged in every moment.

Captured through the lens of Arcane Adventures Vlog, this final chapter is a tribute to camaraderie, resilience, and the spirit of Merdeka.

Part 2: Covid Camp Chronicles - Basics of 4x4 Recovery Equipment

The convoy has arrived, but the journey is far from over. In this episode of our Malaysian4Wheelers X EIGER Merdeka Offroad Explorer series, we dive deepr into the heart of Selancar’s Covid Camp, where jungle silence meets the roar of 4x4 engines and camaraderie is forged.

The day begins with a trek to the hidden gem of Latar Sembayu, a serene escape tucked deep within the rainforest. After soaking in nature’s raw beauty, we headed back to camp for lunch followedby a hands-on technical sharing session led by Mr. Lukman Shahrawi, who breaks down the essentials of offroad recovery equipment. Learn the various tools from winches to sn**ch straps and everything in between.

To wrap up the day, Arcane Adventures sits down with fellow offroaders to capture their stories, insights, and reflections on life behind the wheel. From seasoned veterans to passionate newcomers, each voice adds depth to the offroad community’s spirit.

The Lady Wife need to visit a relative, hence we took an early flight to the East Coast. Following that, I think a would be interesting.

We are in the capital of Kelantan, over in the East Coast. Locally, it is called Kota Bharu, which translates to New Castle 😆.

The first stop was one of the oldest mosque in Malaysia and South East Asia, built sometime in the 15th century. Made completely from local hardwood without any nail.

Next stop was the State Palace complex, with a heritage exhibition was taking place. Traditional headgear, weapons, and textiles were proudly on display. Kelantan has always been known as the gold capital since the ancient times with the makers integrating the material into clothing and weapons, but the centrepiece of the exhibition is the last piece of Bunga Mas (meaning "golden flowers" in Malay) which was a form of tribute sent every three years from the Malay states to the King of Siam (modern-day Thailand). The practice served as a symbol of friendship and, from the Siamese perspective, a recognition of their suzerainty. This piece was estimated to be valued at MYR 15 million or £3 million pounds at today's rate.

Part 1: Ten rigs. One midnight rendezvous. And a waterfall born from lockdown legends.

Arcane Adventures joins Malaysian4Wheelers (M4W) for the M4W X EIGER: Merdeka Offroad Explorer 2025, a journey into Malaysia’s rugged heartland.

This episode kicks off at RnR Seremban Southbound, where we rendezvous at midnight. From there, a convoy of 10 offroad rigs rolls out toward FELDA Selancar 2, diving into a one-hour offroad sector that leads us to a mysterious campsite known as "Camp Covid" dubbed by locals who discovered its pristine waterfall called Latar Sembayu during the pandemic lockdowns.

We pitch camp, share a hearty lunch, and wrap up with a heartfelt sharing session to meet the passionate crew behind M4W.

Hello adventurers! Join us on a thrilling offroad expedition to Kem Salur Gajah, tucked away in the rugged terrain of Labis, Johor about 227 km from Kuala Lumpur. We were honoured for the invitation to ride alongside seasoned wheelers, veterans of the trail whose rigs and resilience have conquered countless challenges. Four jellopies - two Mitsubishi Pajero, a 90-series Land Cruiser Prado, and a 70-series Land Cruiser took part.

This wasn’t just a drive, it was a test of grit. Evry vehicle had to winch, recover, and claw through deep mud, earning battle scars in the form of dents and scrapes. The track was unforgiving, but the spirit of camaraderie kept us pushing forward.

After the mud trials, we reached a serene riverside camp, far from cell towers and distractions. Here, we healed. We shared delicious meals prepared by fellow adventurers, swapped stories under the stars, and built friendships that will outlast the trail.

On the third day, we retraced our path home. It's the same mud, same grit, but with memories packed and spirits high.
