Kerajaan kini sedang mempertimbangkan untuk menggubal satu akta bagi menggalakkan atau mewajibkan rakyat mendaftar MyDigital ID. Tujuan utama pelaksanaan MyDigital ID adalah untuk memastikan keselamatan identiti digital rakyat sentiasa terpelihara, terutamanya dalam urusan yang melibatkan pengesahan identiti. Antara contoh penggunaannya termasuk log masuk ke portal MyGOV, mengakses aplikasi MyJPJ, dan membuat verifikasi pemilik kad SIM prabayar. Apabila semakin banyak sistem dan perkhidmatan — sama ada dalam sektor kerajaan atau swasta — mula mengintegrasikan MyDigital ID, maka keperluan untuk setiap rakyat mendaftar akan menjadi semakin penting dalam memastikan kelancaran dan keselamatan urusan secara digital.

Starting 1 January 2025, all employment contracts in Malaysia—including full-time, part-time, fixed-term, and internships—must be stamped within 30 days of signing, as required by LHDN under the Stamp Act 1949.

The stamp duty is RM10 per contract, with penalties of RM50–RM100 for late stamping.

Contracts below RM300/month are exempt, though this is outdated due to the RM1,700 minimum wage.

HR teams should review existing contracts, track new ones, and ensure timely stamping to avoid fines and legal issues.
