hi lovely friends, how do you spend your mornings? the other day, the weather was so gloomy. as much as I wanted to just stay in bed, I also really wanted the smell of pancakes and a hot cup of coffee. it ended up being such a sweet, warm morning. We hit up another thrift shop (JBR Bundle) location ๐Ÿ›’

This time we traveled all the way to JBR Bundle Bangi and definitely found some gems ๐ŸฅฐHonestly though, I noticed that some of the items here are priced a bit higher than other branches. Of course, that makes sense since itโ€™s located inside a mall, but even compared to the Subang USJ branch (which is also inside the Palazzo mall), Bangi is still pretty decent. Since weโ€™ve actually been to six different JBR Bundle locations now, I feel like I can finally make a proper comparison ๐Ÿ˜… So far, my absolute favorites are still Subang USJ and Balakong. ๐Ÿค—โœจ

let's talk about books ๐Ÿ“š

I stumbled upon a book listing I just couldnโ€™t pass up ... even if it meant convincing hubby to drive me all the way out to get it ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’•

we went on a 30-minute mini road trip for the first batch, and luckily, the second haul was right near home ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป I got ALL of these books for a grand total of just $5!

I even picked up a novel written in Malay, and the lady sold it to me for just RM 2~ isn't that a total steal? ๐Ÿฅน I saw the exact same book elsewhere for RM 10! I feel so lucky. I don't actually speak or understand the language yet, but I really wanted the book and thought, why not use it to try and learn? ๐Ÿงš๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

bringing the cafรฉ vibes for my solar return ๐ŸŽ‚โ˜•๏ธโœจ

so grateful for another chapter in life and I just wanted a simple, cozy cafรฉ vibe with my fam. i tried creating all of these as am exploring new skills ๐Ÿค— well, what better day to create a little magic? and it's so intentional, so resourceful and our pockets are definitely happy hehe.

all these cutesy-vintagey stuff are also the things i thrifted. how does it get any better than this? ๐Ÿฅž๐ŸŒธ

highlights include these incredibly fluffy pancakes, a home-brewed filter coffee, and some special moments in our cottage ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ’–

Hello, whimsical friends ๐ŸŒธโœจ

July is my birth month, and yesterday was truly a blast celebrating life ๐Ÿชท๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ๐ŸŽ‚

Lately, Iโ€™ve been expanding my thrift adventures to FB Marketplace, and on our last trip, we picked up a few gems that we all love so much already ๐ŸŒธ

๐Ÿฐ The Cute Bunny Sofa (RM15): It has a few little stains, but the quality is fantastic and my baby absolutely loves it.

๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ The Living Room Sofa (RM60): This has basically become my new bed ๐Ÿ˜‚ It looks like it hasn't been used much at all. I'm so surprised by how good and cheap it is.

โ˜• The Coffee Table (RM20): It's solid wood ๐Ÿ˜ Others sell it for RM50โ€“60, so I canโ€™t believe the price. We actually picked it up from a clothing boutique called Cuddle Cloud. The seller's parents were there, and we had a lovely chit-chat upon finding out they are also Sabahan like my husband ๐Ÿฅฐ Such a sweet coincidence hehe.

Of course, Iโ€™m incredibly grateful to my sweet husband for always driving me around to collect these treasures. And of course, I just can't go thrifting without buying for my baby, too. So every thirft of mine, he is a top priority ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿค

but hold on... I have a vision. I picked up this vintage side table to sit beside the piano, but the wall behind it is looking a little too bare, 'di ba? time for some minor renovations and a lot of added whimsy. stay tuned to see how it turns out, dear child.
