Failing Forward with Purpose.

This year, Gig Guru is entering the JUMPSTARTER for One Earth Global Pitch Competition. We’ve been knocked back before—pitches that didn’t land, slides that needed work, numbers that weren’t tight enough. We owned it, we fixed it, and we’re stepping back on stage.

Why keep pushing?

Because creative freelancers deserve a smarter way to find work and get paid fairly.

Because every “no” sharpened our product, our unit economics, and our go-to-market.

Because progress is a trajectory, not a trophy.
Over the next days we’re pressure-testing our story with customers, tightening impact metrics, and rehearsing like athletes. Win or lose, we’ll publish what we learn—so founders behind us can move faster, and creatives on our platform can earn better.

VICPA is working closely with the Singapore Ministry of Manpower to tackle a pressing issue in our industry, the illegal hiring of foreign freelancers for creative services in Singapore.

These practices breach the 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝘁 (𝗘𝗙𝗠𝗔) and threaten the livelihoods of our local freelance creative professionals.

This joint advisory was issued in response to feedback from our freelance creative community. We hear you, and we’re taking action to protect your work, your rights, and your future.
