Thank you to iAuthors Club for inviting me to give a talk on "From Blank to Breakthrough: Francis Writer's Journey". In the past, I have conducted writing and branding workshops but never on my own personal journey of my career. Yes, I have 35 years of writing experience under my belt, but what is even more interesting is I have an illustrious career, from being a copywriter, journalist, creative director, actor, host, commercial film director to social media celebrity - Shopping Diva and Francis FashioniSTAR. So I live a colourful life and have so much to share. After all, writing is my blood, fashion is in my vein. The world of "Advertising" in social media has reached a new high of unethical practice. I saw this Ad content of a trading company using Anwar and famous Bloomberg correspondent, Haslinda Amin. The entire interview write-up is FAKE. Worst, this Ad will definitely tarnish the image of our Prime Minister, Anwar. If you miss the "Ad" word on the top right of the article, you may even think this is real. In the past, we have seen how these scammers or "money game" companies used famous personalities eg Tony Fernandez and tycoons like Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah in their ad without the approval of the personalities. Well, this one which just appear on Twitter has certainly crossed the line. Time for Ministry of Digital to take action on these fake ads. 🙏

Conducting "Presentation & Writing Masterclass" to 50 selected students of Foon Yew High School in Kulai, Johor. The school is the biggest Chinese independent school in Malaysia with over 5,000 students on a massive 30-acre land. The students honed their Public Speaking skills and demonstrated their oratory ability in impromptu speech and Oprah Winfrey-style Talk Show. On the other hand, they learnt about Creative Writing skills. Well, all of them were marvelous and of course, everyone had a door gift too - beautiful graphic post cards sponsored by The One Academy College. And 3 lucky students were presented with 3 amazing prizes - specially published books on designs. Well, the trip to Johor is worthy. I received over 90% Excellent and Good feedback response on the Google Feedback Form. More trainings to come. Stay tuned.
