They say a change in perspective changes everything.

We had the incredible opportunity to fly over the heart of Kuala Lumpur in a Designer Series Bell 429 helicopter.

Seeing the Petronas Twin Towers at eye level is more than just a bucket-list view; it’s a powerful mental reset.

In the daily hustle of business, it’s so easy to miss the forest for the trees. We get caught up in the "street-level" details and lose sight of the broader landscape we are building.

Taking a moment to step back (and up!) allowed me to see the "big picture" again. It’s a reminder that success requires both: the precision to handle the details on the ground, and the vision to appreciate the view from the top.

Grateful for this vantage point as we reflect on the year and look toward what’s next in 2026.

Clase Azul Unveils Tequila Blanco Ahumado: A Ballad of Fire at an exclusive masterclass and tasting in Kuala Lumpur.

Clase Azul México has introduced an innovative expression: Clase Azul Tequila Blanco Ahumado. This spirit stands out with its delicately smoky profile, achieved by rescuing and combining ancestral tequila-making methods with artisanal mastery.

The unaged tequila is made exclusively from blue agave cultivated in Los Altos de Jalisco. The agave is cooked in a traditional pit oven, dug into the earth and heated with wood and volcanic rock. This artisanal cooking process infuses the spirit with rich, smoky agave undertones, capturing the transformative power that fire exerts upon the agave.

This new expression features a crystal clear colour with a full body. On the nose, it offers smoked agave, fresh plum, and red apple. On the palate there's the taste of smoked agave and fresh lemon, a mineral front, and a silky finish with smoky undertones. It is ideal for enjoying neat in a flute glass. I liked it neat and in a highball.

The decanter reflects the spirit's creation, with the glass finish evoking smoke, the dark ceramic base recalling volcanic rocks, and the copper cap referencing the stills used for distillation.
