Part 2: Content Monetization Tips

Here's the deal, Facebook doesn't have a set of rules on Monetization. So, it's a game of being super analytical and seeing what works for you.

Also these are not Chatgpt generated ideas but what I've seen across discussion platforms and what tips people claim to work for them.

1. Done is better than perfection: My less than perfect content tends to perform better

2. Human content performs better than AI generated content

3. Videos edited within the app seem to perform better than those uploaded after edits.

4. If you are serious about earning potential target only T-1 countries

5. Group sharing helps for better reach. Apparently only public groups posts pay but they may not always have T-1 country audience

6. Reels are the best to reach new followers

Part 2 of my story.

Business Idea 1

So even though I got several job opportunities after my Masters degree, I didn't want to work in the corporate sector. Back then I had no idea about ADHD. Just thought I was lazy.

But we wanted to make something work out. So our first hyper-focused business idea was making essential oils.. It was so popular back then.. Essential oils weren't widely available in our country either. So Shehan (My husband) ordered an essential oil expeller and even made essential oils out of frangipani (araliya/ temple trees)

It was a success but essential oils extraction took days. Even to make 5ml of essential oils it took over 3 days. So definitely not the most successful business. That was our first lesson.

Then we found a supplier who imports essential oils in bulk. So we thought of branding it and selling it. I even made a brand and designed all the packaging (another hyperfocus project). But then realized it would still be too expensive for the local market. So ditched that project too.

Honestly if AI was widely available back then we would have avoided a lot of our costly business lessons.

Moms with Awesome Food Hacks!

We tried making Tomato sauce but it was a little watery than we preferred. Any tips? Also we usually freeze pasta sauce in ice cube trays and then transfer to ziplock bags to be used in soups, curries and spaghetti

We visited Malaysia twice before moving here. Honestly food wasn't one of the reasons for our move. We wanted a safe place for our kids and for our own sanity. But seriously, the food here is amazing. Very similar to the food we have back at home.

The yummy treats were from a nearby Raya food stall. Very friendly customer service too ❤️.

Part 1 of my Story.

Hi all,

Feel like I need to give you all a proper introduction. Back in 2017 I completed my Masters in Business Administration and left my job.
I just couldn't stay in one place for over a year. Corporate life was definitely not for me..
At the same time my boyfriend (now husband) also did leave his job. We were both in the garment manufacturing business.
But we wanted to start something of our own. We opened our first registered private limited company in 2017 as well. Ever since we have been trying to build something successful of our own.
He managed to get into the same field, investing in a textile wholesale business and I went into being a freelance tutor and academic writer.
But all this time we have been trying to build something of our own.
In our next posts I'll talk about all the side hustles and business ideas we have tried. We are still trying.. I believe we both are ADHD but we have been able to focus on our own areas from 2019 onwards.
To this day we are still trying to build our own empire..In this economy with 2 kids I think we all can learn something about building a business whether online or offline. So stay tuned!

Let's share tips on what works!
This is a new profile but I've been on several FB monetisation groups from my original profile.

I've been in these groups for a while so I wanted to share a few things which people claim to be working for them.
ADHD while reading for a PhD so my rabbit hole game is strong lol.

(I'm not monetized yet because I just started posting content).

So here's what I found out:
- Rather than posting randomly during the day, post when your target audience is mostly active.
- Reels need to be longer than 10 seconds (views longer than 5 seconds are only eligible for pay)
- Engagement from T1 countries pays the most.
- 2 reels a day in the morning and evening if possible.
- Post scheduling does not negatively affect the algorithm
- Post scheduling actually helps with being consistent (especially for a busy ADHD mom like me)
- Group sharing is the best way to grow your audience.

Raw feelings 😞

My preschooler is just started to draw human figures.
These days have been a little tough on me.. I kinda lost my patience with my boy and this is what he drew.
I asked him what he drew. He said angry mama 😭.
I felt horrible.
We try don't we?
But then it's not always easy raising kids without a village. Am I giving myself grace? Nope.
I just want to be a better Mama 😞
