Former British Ambassador Simon Collis Converted to Islam

Simon Collis, a former British Ambassador, converted to Islam in 2011 before marrying his wife, Huda Mujarkech. He later publicly confirmed his conversion in 2016, explaining that after spending 30 years living and working in Muslim societies, he embraced Islam before his marriage.

In 2016, while serving as the UK Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Collis became the first serving British ambassador to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. He was photographed in Makkah wearing the traditional white Ihram during the pilgrimage.

Throughout his 30-year diplomatic career, Collis served in several Muslim-majority countries, including Syria, Iraq, Qatar, the UAE, Tunisia, and Yemen, before retiring from diplomatic service in 2020.

Ibn Sina (Avicenna, 980–1037 CE), also known as the "Prince of Medicine," compiled medical knowledge into his renowned work, the Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb (The Canon of Medicine).

This text systematized the classification of skin conditions according to systemic causes, humors, or external stimuli. Ibn Sina offered the first clinical descriptions of conditions such as alopecia, vitiligo, psoriasis, and skin ulcers.

Additionally, he suggested that certain skin conditions were associated with emotional stress or internal organ imbalances.
