He founded HostPlatform to revolutionize the industry with radical transparency for owners. While some property managers initially resisted the "exposure of their processes," the platform quickly proved its value by generating undeniable owner trust and strengthening business relationships 🤝

Managing close to 600 units across Malaysia, he shared the journey of building his fascinating, multi-layered hospitality business with his sister - expanding their operation from property management into a vertically integrated system covering in-house ID & premium bedding supply! 🛌

🛡️Kapas Living’s Origin: Ken shared the backstory of Kapas Living - yes, the premium linen brand we all know and love! He revealed the core industry problem they encountered with commercial linen and how the sudden necessity of the COVID-19 MCO crisis pushed them to launch the brand as a solution that saved their team and standardised quality across their units.

🎯 The Importance of Niche: Ken strongly emphasized the importance of putting focus on a unique niche to differentiate, sustain, and grow sustainably. He shared examples that inspired his most, such as a local host who’s always fully booked because they focus exclusively on units featuring full-fledged indoor kids’ playgrounds.

🤝 Brother-Sister Dynamic: He gave an honest look at building a business with a sibling. Despite occasional disagreements, particularly at the very start, the most valuable part is knowing you always have someone fully aligned to brainstorm with, talk through problems, and lend a shoulder.

💪 Future Vision: Ken sees the upcoming mandatory licensing for STRA operators as a huge opportunity for professional companies such as Plush, and he shared his long-term dream of expanding into Bali one day!
