GenSINAR Pagi terus komited dalam mempromosikan gaya hidup sihar serta meningkatkan kesedaran tentang kepentingan pendermaan darah menerusi lawatan ke Pusat Darah Negara (PDN) semalam.

Lawatan tersebut memberikan pendedahan tentang operasi dan tanggungjawab harian PDN, termasuk proses pendaftaran penderma, prosedur saringan Kesihatan, pengambilan darah serta pengendalian dan penyimpanan darah yang teliti bagi memastikan keselamatan dan kualiti pembekalan darah sentiasa berada pada tahao terbaik untuk keperluan pesakit.

Melalui inisiatif seperti ini, kami berharap ianya dapat menjadi inspirasi kepada para pendengar untuk menjadi agen perubahan dengan sentiasa peka dan menyokong usaha murni ini. SINAR akan terus komited menjadi platform untuk mendidik, memberi inspirasi dan menyebarkan kesedaran dalam kalangan masyarakat, sekali gus menggalakkan lebih ramai individu untuk bersama-sama menyumbang ke arah menyelamatkan nyawa melalui pendermaan darah.

This Independence Month, Astro Audio is proud to support stories that bring Malaysians together.

We recently welcomed Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) to our studios for their ‘Cerita Mereka, Jiwa Malaysia’ campaign, a celebration of the stories and spirit that define our nation.

The BSN delegation was led by Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mujibburrahman Abd Rashid alongside our Director, Priya Dharshini Prabakaran.

As part of the visit, BSN distributed exclusive campaign merchandise as a token of appreciation to those dedicated to connecting and enriching the lives of Malaysians through the power of radio and audio content.

We sincerely appreciate BSN’s visit and look forward to continuing our support for initiatives that celebrate unity, national pride and the Malaysian spirit.

This year, Astro Audio is introducing a refreshed format for KITA FM with the launch of “KITA”, a special song performed by Astro Audio announcers.

Created in conjunction with Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia 2026, this initiative aims to foster the spirit of patriotism, celebrate Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity, and strengthen unity among Malaysians.

Through this platform, Astro Audio brings people from all walks of life together to celebrate the identities, voices, and stories that unite our nation through music, entertainment, and a series of community activities taking place nationwide from 31 August to 16 September 2026.

As the National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) 2026 celebrations draw near, Astro Audio was delighted to welcome representatives from Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia (JAPEN) as part of its Program Singgah Media Merdeka at Astro yesterday.

Led by Deputy Director-General (Strategic Communications), Pn Rubaayah Osman, the delegation was hosted by Astro Audio Director, Priya Dharshini Prabakaran and her team.

The visit included a tour of the Astro AWANI and Astro Audio News broadcasting studios, followed by the presentation of Jalur Gemilang Kits to Astro representatives and radio announcers as a symbolic gesture of support for the Kibar Jalur Gemilang Campaign.

We are proud to support JAPEN's efforts in fostering patriotism, promoting the Jalur Gemilang, and celebrating the spirit of Merdeka through strategic collaboration with the media industry.

Inspired by the excitement of the Formula 1 season, MIX brought listeners closer to the action with the MIX Grand Prix at Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur. Held on Saturday, 1 August 2026, the event saw 20 lucky listeners enjoy an adrenaline-filled day of thrills, laughter and luge rides alongside MIX announcers.

The MIX Grand Prix was created to give listeners the opportunity to connect with their favourite announcers in a unique and interactive setting.

Through activations and experiences like these, MIX continues to bring people together and create meaningful connections beyond the airwaves, celebrating music, entertainment, and community.

MIX continued to strengthen its bond with listeners through two engaging community initiatives over the weekend.

At the MIX Durian Party held at Durian Day in Bukit Bintang, around 20 participants enjoyed an afternoon of free-flow durian and quality time with MIX announcers Hafiz and Guibo. The event provided listeners with a unique opportunity to connect and interact with their favourite on-air personalities while celebrating a beloved local tradition.

Meanwhile, On The Run with MIX, organised in collaboration with Flow Forward Collective at Desa Park City, brought together runners and listeners for a morning of fitness, wellness and camaraderie. These initiatives demonstrate MIX's ongoing efforts to build meaningful experiences beyond the airwaves, fostering authentic connections with listeners through shared moments.

Proud moment for the Astro Audio News team as they once again earned recognition at the prestigious MPI-PETRONAS Malaysian Journalism Awards 2026, reaffirming their commitment to delivering journalism that informs, engages, and drives meaningful conversations.

A special congratulations to Nicholas John, who was awarded the Silver Medal in the highly competitive Best Radio Reporting category for his podcast, "The Urban Renewal Act: The Debate Over Redeveloping Malaysia." This marks his second consecutive silver medal, a remarkable achievement that highlights his dedication to impactful storytelling and journalistic excellence. Along with the accolade, Nicholas received a certificate and a RM3,000 cash prize.

The recognition did not stop there. Thivyah Vegan John also delivered an impressive performance, with her report "Eating Ourselves Sick: The NCD Crisis Among Malaysian Indians" securing a place among the Top 5 finalists, standing alongside entries from some of Malaysia's leading broadcasters. Her achievement highlights the depth, diversity, and quality of journalism being produced by the Astro Audio News team.

Kemeriahan musim bola sepak terus dirasai apabila THR Gegar baru-baru ini menganjurkan perlawanan bola sepak persahabatan menentang UiTM United 2 di Padang Turf UiTM Shah Alam.

Pasukan THR Gegar dibarisi oleh para penyampai populer stesen itu iaitu Issey, Fizie, Shah, Ewan dan Aswad, serta turut disertai oleh selebriti terkenal seperti Eric Floor 88, Akram Floor 88, Syamel, Rahim Hakem dan Andyoso.

Perlawanan ini turut mencuri perhatian apabila menampilkan dua pemain daripada Malaysia Amputee Football Association (MAFA), iaitu Muaz dan Najmi, yang beraksi bersama pemain lain bagi mempamerkan bakat dan kemahiran mereka dalam sukan bola sepak.

THR Gegar komited untuk terus menyokong inisiatif seperti ini pada masa hadapan, dengan menjadikan semangat kesukanan sebagai medium untuk merapatkan hubungan antara komuniti, institusi pendidikan dan industri hiburan.
