What Has Otti Done to Abia?
Why does it seem like everybody is saying the same thing that “Otti is doing well”?
What could be the reason?
If it’s voodoo, is it possible to capture over 95 percent of Abians with voodoo?
If “Otti is sharing money to those praising him,” does it mean he’s “sharing money to” over 95 percent of Abians?
Of course, Governor Otti enjoys an over 95 percent level of support among Ndi Abia. Even the remaining 5 percent who say otherwise do so because of political affiliation. Most of them still acknowledge his performance behind close doors.
The appreciation is coming from left, right, and centre.
The outpouring of love each time he makes a public appearance has become a sensation.
The endorsements have become a daily tradition.
Hardly a day passes without Governor Otti receiving endorsements from different quarters, individuals, political groups, unions, and even residents from other states living in Abia.
The other time it was Ndi Anambra living in Abia rolling out the red carpet to endorse Governor Otti.
Yesterday, it was Ndi Imo living in Abia rolling out the red carpet again, in a grand civic reception in honor of Governor Otti.
Honestly, I feel for the minutest chunk of individuals still in the opposition in this state, that is if they still exist at all….
Because this kind of charm Governor Otti has used on Ndi Abia to make almost everyone hail him is not an ordinary charm.
And the most worrying part for the opposition is that Ndi Abia seem to be so much in love with this charm. Hehehe.
My dear brothers, Ndi Abia love that charm.
That very charm rebuilding dilapidated roads left, right, and centre, even in remote villages.
That charm that has placed Abia’s healthcare and education among the best-performing in the country.
That same charm that has restored the confidence and dignity of the average Abia man.
That charm that has transformed our own Aba, the “Aba dirty”of old, into an enviable city immersed in cleanliness, sparkling with infrastructure, strengthened by improved security, and now bustling with nightlife.
That charm that has rescued our state from the grip of insecurity to the extent that one can comfortably stay out in Abia until morning.
During the grand civic reception hosted by Ndi Imo yesterday, Chief Mbachu of Bonimas confirmed this very point.
While presenting gifts to Governor Otti, he boldly stated that Otti has made Aba a convenient place for captains of industry like him to live and do business.
He recounted his kidnapping experience and how such incidents had become almost the order of the day in those years.
This and many other experiences, encounters, and testimonies from Ndi Abia explain why Governor Otti’s charm is not fading.
Simply put, that charm is good governance.
Intentional governance.
Focused governance.
That’s the charm.
The truth is that Governor Otti has indeed done something to Abia.
But do you know the real shocker?
Ndi Abia are in love with whatever it is Governor Otti has done to Abia.
Yesterday was just the 999th proof.
