She didn’t want a perfect family… she just wanted her mom. 💔
When Mike married Ella, everyone thought she had found happiness.
They had a beautiful daughter, Lily, and for a while, Ella believed their little family would be enough.
But behind closed doors, everything changed.
Mike began treating Ella as though her feelings didn’t matter. Eventually, another woman became a regular presence in their home, along with her daughter.
Ella had very little support. She spent her days taking care of everyone while being constantly disrespected in her own home. She became quieter and quieter, until one day, she simply couldn’t take it anymore.
Ella became seriously unwell and disappeared.
For six long months, nobody knew where she was.
But she had left Lily behind because she was struggling to take care of herself and feared she couldn't provide the care her daughter needed.
Lily was now alone in a house where she no longer felt safe or loved.
Her father’s partner constantly picked on her, sometimes right in front of her father. Yet he rarely stepped in. Even the woman's daughter treated Lily badly at home and at school.
Lily couldn't understand why her father allowed it.
She only knew one thing…
She missed her mom.
Her mother had never been able to protect her from everything, but whenever Lily felt sad, Ella was the one person who would sit beside her, listen to her, and comfort her.
Now she had no one.
Every night, Lily would quietly wonder:
“Where is my mom?”
She didn't know if Sarah was coming back.
She didn't know why she left.
She only knew that she wanted her mother to come home.
And sometimes, the person we miss the most isn't the person who had all the answers…
It's the person who made us feel less alone. 🥺💔
