A Broken Heart Would Heal Again

The night may weep in silent tones,
With aching sighs and hollow moans,
A heart once whole, now torn apart,
Feels every beat a dying art.

The laughter fades, the colors bleed,
The soul cries out in quiet need,
Each memory a stinging flame,
Each whispered word, a haunting name.

But time, that patient, gentle friend,
Will guide the heart to slowly mend.
Though now it seems all light is gone,
The darkest night still meets the dawn.

The rain that falls won’t fall for years,
Nor will the eyes hold endless tears.
The pain will teach, the wound will close,
And in its place, a new love grows.

A tender scar, a wiser gaze,
A softer strength in future days.
Though shattered once by love’s cruel game,
A broken heart can love again.

It learns to trust, to hope, to feel,
To seek the good, to choose to heal.
The heart may crack, but not remain
In pieces—it will beat again.

So let the sorrow have its time,
Let silence speak, let sorrow rhyme,
But know within, through loss and pain—
A broken heart will heal again.

I used to think I was writing for healing,
For release,
For air when life choked me.
But then you came
And I realized,
I was writing for you too.

You, who didn’t just read my poems,
You received them.
Like letters from Heaven,
Like scriptures folded in a sigh.

Every time you said “Amen” quietly,
Every time you let a tear fall silently
God saw it.
And I felt it.

You were more than readers
You were confirmation
That I was obeying purpose,
That His whispers weren’t wasted.

Sometimes I doubted my words,
Wondered if anyone still needed them.
And then you showed up.
Like God saying, “Keep going, son
I’m using your voice.”

So, thank you.
For letting me be a vessel.
For hearing Him in my ink.
For choosing to stay when it got quiet.

You may not know this,
But you were the “well done”
I didn’t know I needed.

And if my poems ever touched your spirit,
Please know...
It wasn’t just me
It was God…
Loving you through a pen He gave me.

We Miss the Sun

We miss the sun, that golden flame,
That kissed the sky and knew our name.
Its rays would dance on window glass,
And warm the breeze that used to pass.

We miss the mornings bathed in light,
When shadows shrank and hearts felt bright.
When flowers bloomed without a care,
And hope was floating in the air.

Now clouds have come, a stubborn grey,
And stolen all the light away.
The rain has wept for days on end,
The sky no longer feels like friend.

No golden beams to touch our skin,
No glowing hush to rise within.
Just dripping eaves and misty eyes,
And dreams that fade in gloomy skies.

We miss the laughter of the day,
The way the sun would chase dismay.
It dried our clothes, it lit our path,
It held the world in gentle wrath.

Without its smile, the world feels small,
Its absence like a silent call.
The trees lean low, the colors fade,
Even the birds have flown away.

Yet still we wait with patient face,
For sunlight’s hand, its warm embrace.
We know it hides behind the rain,
And soon will rise and shine again.

So till it breaks this shadowed run—
We say with hope: We miss the sun.

Rain drips softly on my windowpane,A whispering rhythm, calm and plain. No thunder roars, no lightning bright,Just falling tears of clouded night. It starts in hush, a subtle grace,Then gathers speed to flood the place. The streets turn glass, the gutters swell,Each drop a story it longs to tell.It taps the roofs, it drums the ground,It makes a symphony of sound. The trees all bow, the flowers sway,As nature sings the storm’s ballet.A lonely child looks out to seeThe world transformed so magically. The dust is gone, the heat erased,The air now cool, the earth embraced.Rain smells of soil, of roots, of green,Of life in places rarely seen.It brings new breath to seeds asleep,And calls the rivers out from deep.

Love Is Wicked
(A Poem)

They said love heals, a gentle balm,
A lullaby, a soothing calm.
But no one warned of burning tears,
Of shattered hopes and creeping fears.

It starts so soft, like whispered rain,
A hand to hold through joy and pain.
But soon the sky begins to spin,
And thorns grow deep beneath the skin.

The smile that once lit up your day
Becomes the ghost that fades away.
The voice that made your spirit rise
Now echoes with a thousand lies.

It builds you up, then breaks you down,
A kingdom turned to battleground.
It kisses sweet, but bites so deep—
It steals your peace, it robs your sleep.

You give your all, your soul laid bare,
But still, love leaves you gasping air.
It plays like fire in the wind—
No rules, no mercy, just pretend.

Yet still we chase it, heart and bone,
Through storms we walk, through cold unknown.
For though it cuts and leaves us scarred,
We crave its thrill, no matter how hard.

So let the world say what they will—
That love is kind, that love can heal.
But I have loved, and I have cried,
And learned that love has darker sides.

Love is wicked—sweetly cruel,
A game of fate, a reckless duel.
And though I know it tears apart,
It still finds shelter in my heart.

My child,
I know it’s hard.
I never said it would be easy
But I did say I’d be with you.
And I am.

I see the tears you hide,
The weight you carry when no one is watching.
I see how you lead with love,
Even when your heart feels empty.
I see you.

You think you’re not enough,
But I never asked you to be enough
I only asked you to let Me be enough through you.

You feel tired, but I’m your strength.
You feel alone, but I’m closer than your next breath.
You feel like giving up, but I’m holding you together
When you don’t even realize it.

You wonder why I chose you…
I chose you because I see what no one else sees.
Not your flaws.
Not your fears.
But your heart.
Your heart that still says yes to Me,
Even when it’s breaking.

So don’t let go.
Rest if you need to.
Cry if you must.
But don’t quit.
Because I’m not done with you.

This pain has purpose.
This path leads somewhere beautiful.
And one day, you’ll look back and see
I was carrying you the whole time.

I'm sorry I’m doing this
I really am.
But if I stayed,
It would be a lie that keeps growing legs.

I’ve fallen out of love with you.
Not out of care,
Not out of respect
But that spark...
That once danced in my chest when I saw you?
It’s gone quiet.

I know it’s too soon.
Too early for this kind of ending,
Too sudden to make sense.
But I won’t pretend to hold a heart
That’s no longer mine to give.

I don’t know when it happened
Maybe in the silence,
Maybe in the rush,
Maybe in the way I started asking myself
If love should feel like endurance.

I think we should end it.
Not out of hate,
Not because you’re not enough,
But because forcing forever
Would only leave us both bleeding slowly.

A broken relationship hurts
But not as deeply
As a broken marriage built on guilt and guesswork.

I’d rather be honest now
Than lie in vows I can't keep later.
So this is me, choosing truth.
This is me, letting go
Before we shatter something sacred.

I'm sorry.
But I have to.
For both of us.

Talitha koum, rise up high
Little girl, arise, and touch the sky
You've been sleeping, it's time to awake
Your potential's waiting, don't let it fade

Talitha koum, take control of your fate
Unlock your dreams, and let them create
A life of purpose, a life of might
Shine your light, and let it ignite

Don't let challenges hold you back
Talitha koum, and rise above the attack
You've got the power, you've got the might
Believe in yourself, and shine so bright

Talitha koum, and let your spirit soar
You've got this, you've got more
Rise up, take the leap of faith
And watch your dreams become your reality's state

Talitha koum, it's time to rise
And let your greatness open your eyes
You've got the strength, you've got the will
Talitha koum, and let your spirit fulfill.

When Talent Doesn’t Reward You

In a world that often glorifies raw talent, it can be deeply frustrating to realize that talent alone is not always enough. You may possess the voice of an angel, the mind of a genius, or the hands of an artist, yet success continues to elude you. The painful truth is that talent, while valuable, is not a guarantee of reward.

Talent is like a seed—it holds promise, potential, and power. But unless that seed is planted, watered, nurtured, and exposed to the right conditions, it remains just that: potential. Many gifted individuals struggle because they rely solely on their talent, believing it should open doors by itself. But the world doesn’t work that way. Talent may get you noticed, but only discipline, perseverance, and relentless effort will keep you moving forward.

When talent doesn’t reward you, it’s easy to feel discouraged or even bitter. You might see others with less ability advancing ahead, gaining recognition, or living the dream you imagined for yourself. But success isn’t always about being the best—it’s about being consistent, prepared, and willing to do what others won’t. It’s about showing up every day, learning from failure, and pushing beyond comfort.

Sometimes, life delays your reward to teach you humility, resilience, or work ethic. Other times, it’s a test: Will you still create, perform, or pursue your dream even when no one claps? Will you put in the hard work when no one is watching?

When talent doesn’t reward you, let it not be your end—let it be your beginning. Build discipline where passion fades. Let your work ethic rise above your feelings. Surround yourself with people who sharpen you, challenge you, and push you to grow. And above all, keep going. The reward may not come when or how you expect it, but if you refuse to quit, it will come.

Because in the end, it’s not just about being talented—it’s about being ready when the reward finally arrives.
