Hiring a Graphic Designer? Read this first. 👇
A great portfolio is important—but it shouldn't be the only reason you hire a designer.
The right designer should understand: • Your brand identity • Your target audience • Your business goals • Typography • Color theory • Layout and composition • Visual hierarchy • Clear communication through design
A skilled Graphic Designer can create: ✅ Brand identities & logos ✅ Social media designs ✅ Ad creatives ✅ Flyers & posters ✅ Presentations ✅ Packaging ✅ Thumbnails ✅ UI visuals ✅ And other visual assets your brand needs.
But here's what many people get wrong...
A Graphic Designer isn't automatically a web developer, video editor, copywriter, photographer, SEO specialist, or digital marketer.
Some designers have those skills too—but they're separate professions.
Also, don't judge a designer by asking, "Do you know Photoshop?"
Photoshop is just a tool.
What really matters is their creativity, design thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and ability to turn ideas into visuals that work.
And please... don't hire one designer and expect them to build your logo, website, edit videos, write content, run ads, and manage your social media.
You hired a designer, not an entire creative agency. 😂
P.S. I'm currently available for freelance projects and full-time Graphic Design opportunities.
If you're looking for a designer who cares about creating designs that communicate, connect, and convert, let's talk.
