*THERE WAS A MAJOR*
*MJ. K. CHUKWUMA*
_(GOD KNOWS)_
This polo is created in honor of *Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu* — the soldier who never smoked, never drank, never chased women. A man of discipline, faith, and purpose.
A devout Catholic who never played with his duty to God or country. For me, he is worth celebrating far more than Ojukwu.
He became a Major in his 20s. He died at 30 — with no wife, no child, no personal gain. Only honor.
When his parents begged him to marry before Nigeria’s first coup, he told them: _“I haven’t come to last in this world. I do not want to make an innocent girl a widow.”_
After the coup, he was arrested and thrown into Aba prison. During the Civil War, Ojukwu freed him — yet later frustrated him. Still, Major Nzeogwu died planning a night attack, as he always believed in striking under the cover of darkness.
He was taken to Kaduna and buried by the Nigerian Army with full military respect — a soldier to the very end.
A close friend of former President Obasanjo.
*His intention for the coup was for a better Nigeria — but nobody understood him.*
Some called him a rebel, but he was never. He wanted to sweep out corrupt politicians and fix a broken Nigeria.
*This is for the Major who lived for Nigeria, and died for what he believed was right.*
