EKEOHA MARKET CHAIRMAN (COMR. MECON) DIRECTS TRADERS TO REGISTER FOR PERMANENT VOTER'S CARD (PVC)
Aba, Abia State - In a crucial move to mobilize voters ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Executive Chairman of Ekeoha Aba Shopping Center, Comr. Emeka Cyriel Okeke (Chief MECON), has issued a powerful appeal to market members to participate actively in the ongoing Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) registration exercise.
MOBILIZING THE MARKET FOR 2027
The call was made at the Ekeoha Market secretariat during a courtesy visit by members of the "BACK TO BACK MOVEMENT FOR DR. ALEX OTTI 2027." Speaking with the Igbo language slogan of "Onye ruo, ye rie," which translates to: "If one sows, he reaps," the market leader emphasized that securing a PVC is the fundamental step to exercising one's democratic right. He directly addressed the need for new registrations and replacement cards, stating: ... "I strongly appeal to all members of Ekeoha Market within the age of 18 years and above who have not gotten their voters card or have lost their cards or those whose card were damaged to avail themselves and get their PVCs on the ongoing INEC sponsored exercise."
The Chairman underscored the importance of this civic duty, linking voter registration directly to the re-election of the current Governor. In a stirring declaration that resonated with the visiting movement, he said: ..."YOUR PVC IS YOUR BACKING POWER TO BACK DR. ALEX OTTI TO BOUNCE BACK TO POWER, 2027."
PERFORMANCE AS A CAMPAIGN STRATEGY
Chief MECON highlighted the tangible developmental impact of the Governor's administration, particularly in Aba, as a major reason for his anticipated victory. He noted that Dr. Alex Otti's performance has already led to a planned economic resurgence: ..."Duo to Dr. Alex's performance, most illustrious sons and daughters of Aba brought ups in the Northern Nigeria and diaspora are planning to transfer their business to Aba where there's highly improved electricity, updated road network , and availability of new shop opportunities, like the Ekeoha Aba Shopping Centers, Abia State."
Chief MECON also took a moment to express his gratitude, thanking the "Back to Back Movement for Dr. Alex Otti 2027" for their unwavering commitment. He specifically praised them for their: "...super striking performance, awareness creation, and super visibility show up in support of Dr. Alex Otti (OFR) during his visit with the President to Aba for the grand opening of the Abia State Julius Berger Road, the Port Harcourt Road."
PVC: THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE
In his final remarks, the market Chairman reiterated that the decision on who will "Bounce Back to Power comes year 2027" has already been demonstrated by the populace. He pointed to the massive turnout and support shown by Ndi-Aba in the presence of the Presidency during the flag-off of the Julius Berger-built Port Harcourt Road as a clear indication of the public's choice. He firmly asserted that the power to return Dr. Alex Otti to office rests solely with the electorate, not with external political influences, stating: ..."the power to enthrone Alex Otti back to seat rest solely on the PVC of the people of Abia state, not with the political opportunistic godfathers of the Abuja line up or with the entitlement claimers."
CLOSING REMARKS
Comr. Emeka Cyriel Okeke (Chief MECON) has demonstrated exemplary leadership by not only presiding over a major economic hub but also by proactively mobilizing his members for civic action. His clear, positive stance and solid support for the Back to Back Movement for Dr. Alex Otti 2027 underscore his conviction in the Governor's performance. Chief MECON stands as a staunch and articulate supporter of Dr. Otti's re-election bid in 2027, ensuring that the market community understands that their vote is their voice and their power.
