I was afraid my husband would leave me because I couldn't get pregnant.
I never said it out loud.
But I thought about it constantly.
Whenever he came home late, I wondered.
Whenever he was quiet, I wondered.
Whenever his family called, I wondered.
I started interpreting everything as a sign.
Maybe they're discussing me.
Maybe they're tired of me.
Maybe someone has suggested another woman.
I was becoming a stranger to myself.
I stopped feeling beautiful.
I stopped feeling like a wife.
I felt like the woman who had failed at the one thing everyone expected her to do after marriage.
Have a baby.
Then one day, I looked at myself in the mirror and realized something painful.
I had allowed infertility to become my identity.
I was more than my ability to conceive.
But that didn't mean I should ignore my fertility either.
So I started learning.
I learned that fertility is multifactorial.
I learned about ovulation.
I learned about egg quality and ovarian reserve.
I learned that s***m health matters.
I learned that nutrition matters.
And I learned that supplements should be viewed as support, not miracles.
That is one reason I recommend women who are interested in nutritional support look at what they're actually taking.
FertilBloom, for example, combines several fertility-focused nutrients in one blend, including CoQ10 300 mg, myo-inositol 2,000 mg, D-chiro-inositol, methylfolate, NAC and alpha-lipoic acid, among others.
It can be a convenient option for someone who wants a more comprehensive nutritional blend rather than buying several individual products.
But your fertility journey shouldn't stop there.
If you've been trying without success, investigate.
Don't only treat yourself.
Don't only blame yourself.
Let your partner be evaluated too.
And please don't allow anyone to convince you that your worth as a woman depends on how quickly you produce a child.
This isn't my story.
It's from a woman in my community.
But her fear is one I know many married women carry silently.
If you've ever been afraid that infertility could cost you your marriage, leave a ❤️ in the comments.
You don't have to tell your whole story.
And if you're ready to take your nutrition more seriously while TTC, send me “FERTIBLOOM” and I'll tell you more about it.
