*EXCERPTS FROM THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON FRIDAY, 28TH FEBRUARY 2025*
The Executive Council of FASA Worldwide convened for a strategic meeting on Friday, 28th February 2025, under the leadership of His Excellency, the Worldwide President, *Comr. Nsikak Sampson*. The session commenced with an opening prayer led by the Vice President, Comr. Ukeme George, setting a solemn and focused atmosphere for deliberations.
PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS
In his opening remarks, the Worldwide President expressed profound gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve the students of Abak Local Government Area. He emphasized the importance of commitment, proactiveness, and efficiency among all Executive members, stressing that the administration maintains zero tolerance for mediocrity and unmet targets. He charged all council members to approach their responsibilities with precision and urgency, as this tenure is dedicated to delivering tangible and impactful results.
INVITATIONS & UPCOMING EVENTS
The Council received an official invitation to attend the burial ceremony of the late grandfather of *Comr. Peace Jack* of UNICROSS Chapter. Comr. Peace Jack, a dedicated member of FASA Worldwide, previously served as a member of the Electoral Board Commission and demonstrated exceptional diligence in her duties.
The Council acknowledged her contributions and resolved that FASA Worldwide would be physically present at the burial ceremony on 29th March 2025 at the deceased compound- Old Uyo road after NNPC filling station Ediene Abak, to offer solidarity and support. Members are encouraged to make necessary arrangements to attend in honor of our dear sister and comrade.
POLICY UPDATES
*1. Opening and Launching of the FASA Worldwide Bank Account*
To enhance transparency and financial accountability, the Council directed the Financial Secretary to initiate the process of opening an official FASA Worldwide bank account, effective from Monday, 3rd March 2025. The Financial Secretary is to provide a detailed progress report to the Council within seven days.
*2. Rebranding & Renewal of the FASA Worldwide Logo*
Recognizing the need to modernize the association’s brand identity, the Council deliberated on updating the FASA Worldwide logo. The Director of Information and Public Relations has been mandated to commence work on designing a refreshed and contemporary logo, with activities beginning on Monday, 3rd March 2025. The proposed designs are to be presented to the Council within seven days for review, approval, and adoption.
OTHER DELIBERATIONS
*1. Proposal for an Official FASA Muffler*
Her Excellency, *Comr. Ukeme George*, the Vice President, proposed the acquisition of a customized FASA muffler for official use during association events and engagements. The Council acknowledged the importance of this initiative in fostering unity and identity and agreed to deliberate further on its adoption in the next EXCO meeting.
*2. Scheduling a National Congress*
The Council recognized the need to organize a National Congress to address key student matters and strengthen engagement among members. Plans for the Congress will be finalized in an Emergency EXCO meeting to be scheduled soon.
*3. Finalization of the Executive Work Plan*
In line with the administration’s strategic roadmap, the Council considered the Executive Work Plan, outlining key programs and initiatives for the tenure. An Emergency EXCO meetingwill be convened to present, discuss, and adopt the work plan officially.
The meeting, which was marked by strategic deliberations and decisive resolutions, came to a close at exactly 7:45 PM.
