*We are still examining wisdom for living and the relationships of the new creation*

It's not just that we are born again, God is our Father and he has control of our lives and our relationships...
1 Cor 12:13
This is how we came into Christ…
Gal 3:27
This is the only way we can be in Christ...the new creation can only be seen in the Epistles…
As christians we must focus and feed on the Epistles...
Romans 8:8-10, Ezek 36:26-27
I am a new creation in Christ...today we are sons of God because of Jesus's death, burial and resurrection…
Romans 8:28,29
Jesus is the first born among many brethren…
Heb 2:10,11
We are sons of God today and Jesus' brothers…
1 John 3:1,2
Beloved now are we the sons of God…
John 1:12
When you believe in Jesus you are a son of God and you have eternal life…
Gal 4:6&7
Because you are sons God had sent forth the spirit of his son into your hearts crying abba father…
Previously we began to look at the relationships the bible teaches us to have and the ones it teaches us to avoid…
James 4:4
Friendship of the world is enmity with God…
2 Cor 6:14
The believer is light while the unbeliever is darkness...so you can not be a close friend with an unbeliever…
1 Peter 2:2, Acts 4:12
Jesus is the saviour of the world but unbelievers don't believe that so we can not be friends with them…
You must stay away from a christian that does not savour the things of God or a christian that loves money…the Bible says from such a person withdraw thyself…
Romans 16:17
Mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine you have learned and avoid them...
There is a difference between a Christian who sins and a christian who is living in sin…the Bible says turn away or withdraw from him that is living in sin that he may be ashamed...
We had said that a Christian husband who does not take care of his family is worse than an infidel…
2 Thess 3:14
Note the man that does not obey the word in this Epistle and have no company with him…
When you have company with such a person you are creating a division….and also evil communication corrupts good manners…
When you are mingling with a brother who is living in sin, it's only a matter of time before you join him….
2 Cor 7:39
In marital relationships we are told what to do as husband and wives and how both are to behave to one another…
We said a Christian woman does not argue or disrespect her husband, when she does that she is bringing shame to Jesus...
A Christian Husband must make his wife beautiful...
We said Children must obey and respect their Parents and parents must train their children in the light of Christ…
We also talked about the master and servant relationship…
Col 5:1
We said that the servant must respect his master, be faithful and diligent in serving his master as unto the Lord... while we also said the Master must give his employees what they are due...
In Christ there is no competition….
Today we want to look at how to behave as a citizen of your country…
Sometimes you hear christians say I am not a citizen of nigeria…I am a citizen of zion…
You travel from place to place carrying the green passport of nigeria and you say you hate nigeria and you are not from there...you are deceiving yourself….
So what are the duties in the word of God to my country as a believer…
I don't know about you but I am proud to be a Nigerian and I wear my badge with dignity, pride and honour…
I was saved in Nigeria, spoke in tongues, in Nigeria, went to school, had a job, got married and had kids in Nigeria and I live in Nigeria...
Romans 13:1,2,3,4
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers...rulers as not a terror to good works but to evil…
Rulers are to discipline those who are evil…
Romans 13:4
He is telling us here that even the policemen men are ministers of God…
Romans 13:5,6,7
A lot of believers need to renew their mind concerning their country...we ought to speak positively towards our country as believers and not declare evil by the words we speak…
Romans 13:1-7,8(KJV & AMP)
As a child of God we must submit to the government of the land…
We ought to give respect, honour to whom it is due...
The policeman is a servant of God to evil doers…
As believers we must be orderly, not breaking protocols, driving one way, overtaking unjustly, beating the traffic lights...etc
Sometimes Church folks pray so much as a cover up for their disobedience...
Today christian citizens are ready to endanger the lives of the people whom Jesus died for just because of the love for money...this ought not so to be…
You see believers compromising standards for money sake…
As christian citizens obeying the law is as unto God…
We ought to pay out taxes, it is a christian's responsibility... the Bible says pay your tax not pay you tax only when the money is being used properly by the government…
Matt 22:16,17
They asked Jesus, is it lawful to pay taxes to the government of the land…
Matt 22:18-20
Jesus perceived their wickedness and said to them why tempt ye me ye hypocrites...
Matt 22:22, Luke 20:20-25
Christian citizens must pay their taxes….and a government must not be oppressive…
As a government when you deny the citizens their rights it becomes wickedness and they will have to answer to God one-day…
Governments must do what is right and the same applies to the citizens…
We support the government by paying taxes….
Should ministers pay taxes? Yes if they collect salaries from the church they serve…
As a believer you are not supposed to be making illegal light connections after they were cut by the government officials…
Honour must be given to whom honour is due…
Do we have rights as Christians and are we allowed to air out views as a citizen of the nation….Yes, but it must be done within the provision of the law...
The Bible says you must respect leadership….
1 Peter 2:13,14,15,16
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord sake…
1 Peter 2:13-17(AMP)
You must honour and respect the man in charge….
The Bible tells us the kind of speech that should proceed from our mouths as Christian citizens...they must not be foul languages or terrible words...
Acts 23:5
Child of God shall not speak evil of the ruler of his people…
2 Peter 2:10
Those who walk in the flesh do not respect people in governments…but we are not in the flesh...
Jude 1:8
The Bible says if you don't respect people in government you are walking in the flesh…
Eph 4:28,29
Let no corrupt or evil communication proceed from your mouth…but that which is good to the use of edification that it may minister grace to the hearers…
It is not good for a christian to be found cursing, we must honour leadership...
James 3:10
Don't be the one who blesses and at the same time the one who curses…
Matt 5:44,45
This includes governments, so don't air your views in disrespect…
Is it proper for a man of God to do human right activism? Let's see!
When Jesus appeared before pilate he wasn't found with any offence…neither was there guile found in his mouth...
Why was John the baptist in prison?
Matt 14:2,3
John criticized Herold and was put in prison...Does it not maze you that Jesus was around and said nothing about it...
John was arrested for expressing his opinion…when you speak against the president or anyone in power and you are put behind bars you are put there as a citizen and not as a son of God…
Jesus sent people to go tell John that Ministry is not critisizing governments but meeting peoples needs by the power of the Holy Ghost...
Matt 14:12-14
They cut off John's head and Jesus said nothing…
Luke 13:31,32
Jesus called Herold a fox since he wanted to kill...that was the only place Jesus made mention of Herold…
1 Peter 3:14-17
If you suffer for righteousness sake then happy are you...
There is a difference between ministry and critisizing governments…
1 Peter 4:12,13,14,15,16
If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you…
If you are going to suffer, suffer as a christian…
1 Tim 2:1-3,4
As christian citizens we are expected to pray for those in authority, make supplications, intercessions and Giving of thanks…
Our responsibilities as citizens is to pay our taxes and obey the laws of the land…
The word of God is God's wisdom to us…
