The structure of the Nigeria Immigration Service is organized into various departments, units, and ranks and I have broken down the various ranks and a brief role of reach officer.

The Office of the Comptroller General: This is the highest office in the Nigeria Immigration Service and is responsible for the overall management and administration of the agency.

The Deputy Comptroller General: This office assists the Comptroller General in the management and administration of the NIS.

The Assistant Comptroller General: This office oversees the activities of various departments within the NIS.
The Comptroller: This is the head of a state command of the NIS.

The Deputy Comptroller: This office assists the Comptroller in the management of a state command.

The Assistant Comptroller: This office assists the Comptroller and Deputy Comptroller in the management of a state command.

The Chief Superintendent of Immigration: This officer oversees the activities of a unit or section within a state command.

The Superintendent of Immigration: This officer is responsible for the management of a unit or section within a state command.
The Deputy Superintendent of Immigration: This office assists the Superintendent in the management of a unit or section within a state command.

The Assistant Superintendent of Immigration: This office is responsible for the day-to-day activities of a unit or section within a state command.

The Senior Inspector of Immigration: This office carries out supervisory duties in a unit or section within a state command.
The Assistant Inspector of Immigration: This office is responsible for clerical and administrative duties in a unit or section within a state command.

OPENING SESSION OF DAY-TWO OF THE ONGOING WORKSHOP ON MODERNIZING NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE (MONIS) NIS-ICMPD HOLD CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP IN LAGOS

CGI Isah Jere Idris declares a-Four-Day Technical Working Committee of the Modernizing Nigeria Immigration Service (MONIS) project in Lagos.

2.Represented by DCG Aminu Muhammad Aminu mni of the Border Management Directorate, the enable the emergence of actionable documents for the NIS.

4.The Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola represented by Mr.Ademola Adeyinka assured of the Ministry's commitment to a fully reformed NIS.

5. The Danish Ambassador for Migration, Return&Re-admission Amb.Jens Godtfredsen assured of his government's commitment to the MONIS project and called for the deepening of the existing relationship with NIS.

The MONIS project is funded by the Danish Government and implemented by ICMPD
