- Salaries of the academic staff of Ebonyi State University has been increased by 20%

- Salaries of non-academic staff of Ebonyi State University has been increased by 10%

- School fees at Ebonyi State University has been reduced by 10%

- Monthly Subvention of Ebonyi State University has been reviewed upwards, from N200m to N280m.

- Henceforth, first-class graduates of Ebonyi State University, of Ebonyi State origin will be offered automatic employment to lecture at the University, while those who have graduated with first-class, either of Ebonyi State origin or not, enjoys same privilege.

The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has urged Nigerian nurses and midwives in the United Kingdom to give back to their motherland.

According to a statement posted on the official X handle of the commission on Monday, Dabiri-Erewa stated this at an event by the Nigerian Nurses Charitable Association, United Kingdom, where she was the special guest.

The statement read, "At the event, themed 'Leading the Future Influencing Global Health,' she called for a structured MOU on migration of health workers between the governments of Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

"Speaking at the event, the NiDCOM Chairman commended the nurses and midwives for their charitable deeds and urged them to continue to give back to their motherland.

"She expressed optimism that Nigerian healthcare practitioners in the diaspora, working with their counterparts in Nigeria can make Nigeria a tourist destination rather than the other way round.

"She added that the Tinubu administration is committed to improving healthcare facilities and practice in Nigeria and called for more collaboration by establishing partnerships for knowledge exchange, telemedicine initiatives, and skills transfer programs."

The statement further read that the president of the association, Wendy Olayiwola, said they will continue to contribute their expertise through collaborations with medical institutions back in Nigeria.

Olayiwola also stressed the need to create more platforms for networking and communication to foster a collaborative environment for sharing insights and best practices.

Moet said she is yet to find a “sensible man,” lamenting that most men “don’t have sense.”

According to Mirror Uk, Victor Osimhen will ‘reserve the right to take legal action’ against his own club Napoli over a video posted via their official TikTok account. It would be recalled that Osimhen helped fir£ Napoli to a first league title in over 30 years last time out with a standout campaign in which he netted 31 goals across all competitions. However, he was the target of a bizarre video posted from the club’s own social media profile on Tuesday. The video centred on an incident in the club’s scoreless draw against Bologna on Sunday, in which Osimhen spurned the opportunity to win the game from the penalty spot. That proved to be the game’s defining moment and was a rare miss from the Nigerian – who had bagged three goals in his first five matches this season. Yet Napoli’s peculiar video focused on Osimhen appealing for the penalty, using a strange and rather unsettling sped-up voice – which appeared to have no context, other than to m%ck the striker for his attempts to persuade the decision to be given. The video continued to show the striker blasting his effort off target and then abruptly ending. The club are yet to acknowledge the video, which was subsequently deleted, but agent Roberto Calenda has suggested that Osimhen is considering legal action against his club – an extremely unusual circumstance.
