Had it been that Imhotep came from an influential background that controlled the writing of world history his name would have been written across the face of the world with a golden pen just like the names of Aristotle, Hippocrates, and other celebrated figures of classical antiquity.
Imhotep was an ancient Egyptian genius—a physician, architect, engineer, astronomer, high priest, and statesman.
He served under Pharaoh Djoser and designed the famous Step Pyramid of Saqqara, the first monumental stone structure in human history. More than 2,000 years after his deæth he was deified and worsh!pped as the god of medicine and wisdom because of his extraordinary contributions to science and heal!ng.
Before Aristotle, Hippocrates and many other Greek scholars became household names, Ancient Kemet (present-day Egypt) had already developed remarkable knowledge in medicine, architecture, engineering, mathematics, astronomy, and writing.
Ancient Egyptian physicians carried out surgical procedures treated fractures, stitched wounds and documented medical knowledge on papyrus centuries before the Greek classical age.
Africa has always been great.
Long before the world knew modern technology and scientific advancement Africans were building monumental structures, practicing medicine carrying out surg!cal operations, observing the stars and developing systems of governance and education that continue to amaze historians and archaeologists today.
But today, one Nzàmbi somewhere will still come out and say that the white man brought innovation and development to Africa, forgètting that Africa was already home to thriving civilizations long before colon!alism.
To hèll with the missionaries who discred!ted our ancestors just to glorify those who invàded our lands uninvited.
To hèll with those who extôrted our resources, bûtchered our people, ræped our mothers, destróyed our institutions of solemn worship and divided us along artificial borders for their self!sh ambitions and strûggle for pówer.
The white man never meant well for Africa, and the effects of colon!alism are still visible across the region
History has to be revived in Africa not to help Africans know who we are understand what our ancestors achieved, recla!m our identity, and restore the dignity of a civilization that contributed immensely to the development of humanity.
Africa saw today before any other continent 💯
