The Kaduna State police command has indeed announced the arrest of a young man for allegedly impersonating some Northern governors, scamming many unsuspecting Nigerians in the process. However, the police have identified the suspect as Aminu Ado Yarima, a 59-year-old man from Kano State's Bichi Local Government Area.

Details of the Arrest:

▪️Yarima was apprehended on July 19, 2025, at his residence in Keffi, Nasarawa State, after weeks of surveillance and credible intelligence gathering.
▪️He allegedly impersonated several high-profile personalities, including:
▪️Governors: Kaduna, Nasarawa, Ondo, and Kogi states
▪️Security Chiefs: Inspector-General of Police, Force Public Relations Officer
▪️Other Officials: Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and spouses of prominent public office holders

Troops of Operation Fansan Yanma have launched a manhunt for suspected bandits who abducted two farmers, Halilu Nuhu from Gidan Bawa village and Mamuda Aliyu from Bagarera village, in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
