Murdér Suspect Arrested While Trying to Sell Stolen Car.

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended Ayomide Oluwadamilare, a 25-year-old suspect linked to the murdér of Mr. Kola Adun, a resident of River Valley Estate in Ojodu Berger. Adun's decomposing body was discovered on July 7, 2025, with visible stáb wounds, and his Toyota Camry was missìng.

This development was confirmed in a press statement signed by the Ogun State Police Command PPRO Csp Omolola Odutola.

Brief details about the Incident:

"A friend of the deceased had raised the alarm on July 6 when he couldn't reach Adun, and the police received a distress call about a foul smell coming from the residence. Officers responded promptly and found Adun's lifeless body".

Investigation and Arrest of suspect:

Preliminary investigations revealed that Ayomide, Adun's former driver, had unlawfully entered the residence on July 5 with the intent to rob. He stabbed Adun to death and fled with the vehicle. The breakthrough came when Ayomide attempted to sell the stolen car to a dealer in Ikorodu, who suspiciously contacted the police, leading to the suspect's arrest.
Meanwhile the PPRO stressed further that the decéased's remains have been taken to OOUTH for autopsy, and the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Abeokuta for further investigation and prosecution.

Serious Motor/Tricycle Accident On July 6, 2025, a serious accident occurred at Oluwakemi Bridge on Denro/Akute Road, Ojodu Abiodun. An unregistered Toyota Camry driven by an unknown driver collided with a tricycle (Lagos KRD 699 QN) ridden by Fausat Gbemisola.

The accident happened when the Toyota Camry driver lost control, crossed into the opposite lane, and hit the tricycle. The tricycle rider and two unknown passengers sustained serious injuries.

Motopol personnel swiftly responded, rushed the injured to Lagos State Emergency Clinic, Old Toll Gate, Ojota.
