OGUN FIBAN SYMPATHISES WITH DR. OLAYINKA JOEL AYEFELE, MON, AND THE ENTIRE FRESH FM FAMILY
The Freelance and Independent Broadcasters’ Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), Ogun State Chapter received with deep shock and sadness the unfortunate fire incident that razed the Head Office of Fresh FM Nigeria, Challenge–Ibadan, on Friday, August 15, 2025.
As professional broadcasters and stakeholders in the Nigerian media industry, we fully understand the magnitude of this loss — the studios of Fresh 105.9 FM and Blast 98.3 FM, alongside critical facilities like the newsroom, server/transmitter room, and operational equipment, are not just assets to Fresh FM alone, but to the entire broadcasting community in Nigeria.
On behalf of all our members — especially those currently working in the Fresh FM brand across Nigeria — we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Founder, Dr. Olayinka Joel Ayefele, MON, the management, and the entire staff of Fresh FM Nigeria, Blast FM, and Tieantiwa Radio.
Dr. Ayefele, you remain a beacon of resilience, creativity, and excellence in our profession, and we are confident that with God’s grace, your strength of character, and the collective support of well-meaning Nigerians, this painful setback will only pave the way for greater restoration and an even more glorious phase for the Fresh FM brand.
We salute the courage of the staff, residents, passersby, and Oyo State Fire Service officials who rallied together to confront the inferno. Their actions are a reminder of the unity and communal spirit that bind us as Nigerians.
Ogun FIBAN stands firmly with you in this difficult moment. We assure you of our prayers, support, and solidarity as you navigate the path to recovery. The voice of Fresh FM will rise again, stronger and louder.
Signed,
Comrade Aderoju Ogundiran,
Ag. Chairman, Ogun State FIBAN
(On behalf of all members)
