Ayetoro Community Embarks on Humanitarian/Charity Visit and Medical Outreach to Mark 2025 Ayetoro Day Celebration

In commemoration of the 2025 Ayetoro Day Celebration, the Ayetoro Day Planning Committee has announced a Humanitarian/Charity Visit to the hospital and a Free Medical Outreach as part of its weeklong activities dedicated to community service, unity, and development.

The event, scheduled to hold Tuesday 4th November, 2025 at Alaye's Palace by 10am, ahead of the grand finale of the Ayetoro Day celebration, is designed to promote access to quality healthcare, support the less privileged, and reaffirm the community’s longstanding culture of compassion and collective responsibility.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chairman of the 2025 Ayetoro Day Sub-Committee on Health, Dr Ismail Lawal, said the medical outreach reflects the community’s vision of inclusive development.

> “Ayetoro has always been known for its communal spirit and commitment to human welfare. This year’s celebration goes beyond festivities—it is about giving back, touching lives, and reaffirming our shared humanity,” Chief [Name] stated.

He added that the humanitarian visit to the hospital would offer not only medical assistance but also emotional support to patients and appreciation to healthcare workers for their selfless service.

> “We want to let those in the hospital know that they are not forgotten, and we also want to thank our doctors and nurses who continue to serve our people with dedication,” he said.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the Committee, Matron Abosede Edubiyi, noted that the outreach would include free medical consultations, screenings for common ailments such as hypertension and diabetes, distribution of essential drugs, and health education sessions.

> “Health is the foundation of development. By bringing healthcare directly to the people, we are empowering our community and building a healthier Ayetoro,” she emphasized.

The Committee encouraged indigenes, residents, and well-wishers to participate actively in the program and support the broader activities marking the 2025 Ayetoro Day Celebration.

Sounding of Gbedu Drum, 21-Gun Salute, Prayers, and Visits to Historical Sites to Herald 2025 Ayetoro Day Celebration

The people of Ayetoro are set to officially commence the 2025 Ayetoro Day Celebration tomorrow, Monday, November 3, 2025, with a series of symbolic and cultural events that reflect the town’s rich heritage and enduring unity.

The opening ceremony will feature the sounding of the Gbedu drum, a 21-gun salute, special interdenominational prayers, and visits to notable historical sites across Ayetoro. These traditional rites will signify the formal beginning of the week-long celebration, which brings together indigenes at home and abroad to honor the town’s history, culture, and achievements.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Alaye of Ayetoro, His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulAzees Adelakun, speaking through the Oluwo of Ayetoro, Chief Cornelius Ileyemi, described the commencement ceremony as a sacred moment that connects the people to their roots and traditions.

"The Gbedu drum and the 21-gun salute are not mere rituals, they are symbols of our strength, peace, and continuity,” Oba Adelakun said. “As we begin the 2025 Ayetoro Day, I urge all Ayetoro sons and daughters to celebrate with pride, unity, and a renewed commitment to the progress of our land.”

The Chairman of the Central Ayetoro Day 2025 Organising Committee(CAYDOC), Chief Kunle Amosun, also noted that this year’s theme focuses on promoting unity and development through cultural heritage.

"Tomorrow's activities mark the beginning of something truly special for Ayetoro," Chief Amosun remarked. We will start with our traditions - Gbedu drums, 21-gun salutes, prayers and heritage visit - all which remind us where we coming from and inspire us toward greater collective"

The Ayetoro Day Celebration, renowned for its vibrant cultural displays, community development projects, and reunions of indigenes from around the world, will continue throughout the week with various events leading to a grand finale on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
