"So 'A New Nigeria is Possible' — But He Sent His Own Child Abroad? 🤔" — Deji Adeyanju Reacts to Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed’s Son Graduating in London

Activist Barrister Deji Adeyanju has called out Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the owner of the expensive Baze University in Abuja, for sending his son to study in the UK.

This comes after Datti’s son graduated from Queen Mary University, London. Adeyanju questioned why someone who always talks about building a better Nigeria would not let his own child school here — especially when he owns one of the top private universities in the country.

In his words: “They say 'A New Nigeria is Possible', but they don’t believe in Nigeria themselves. They have their audience, though.”

“Any Politician Promising to Serve Only One Term Needs Mental Check – Soludo Throws Shade at Obi”

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has said that any politician who claims they will serve only one term in office should go for a mental check-up.

He made this statement during a rally in Anambra South while campaigning for a second term.

This appears to be a subtle jab at Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who has repeatedly said he would serve just one term if elected president.

Soludo questioned the idea, saying there’s no place in Nigeria’s constitution that says an elected official must only serve one term. According to him, the law allows two terms, so he doesn't understand why anyone would limit themselves.

IVD Arrested at Airport While Trying to Travel Abroad Despite Court Order

Popular car dealer and partner of relationship therapist Blessing CEO, IVD (Ikechukwu Ogbonna), was arrested at a Nigerian international airport on August 1, 2025, while allegedly trying to fly to Qatar.

Authorities stopped him because there is a court order banning him from leaving Nigeria, due to an ongoing legal case related to the death of his wife, Bimbo, who died after serious allegations of domestic violence.

IVD is now in police custody and is expected to appear in court on Monday, August 4, 2025.

Blessing CEO has confirmed the arrest and is reportedly doing everything she can to support him.

SAD! 💔🤦‍♂️
Since Asake left YBNL, things haven’t been the same for him. He has reportedly cancelled over 8 shows due to low ticket sales — including a concert in France where only 8,000 out of 40,000 tickets were sold. 😢

For months now, he hasn’t topped Spotify or Apple Music charts like before. Remember when we used to call him the “Landlord” of the charts? Well, that energy seems to be missing.

Cancelling that many concerts in less than a year shows maybe he wasn’t fully ready to go independent. Sometimes we blame record labels too much, forgetting the serious work they put in behind the scenes.

Lesson here: Not every artist is meant to go solo. Independence is not for everyone. 🙏
