FME TVET-IDEAS Project Flag-Off Ceremony Holds in Abia State.
The FME TVET-IDEAS Project was officially flagged off for all Training Service Providers (TSPs) in Abia State, marking a significant milestone in advancing technical and vocational education across the region.
The ceremony, held on 27th February 2026 at Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba (formerly Abia State Polytechnic), brought together key stakeholders committed to empowering the next generation with practical, industry-relevant skills.
Through this initiative, 675 trainees will undergo hands-on training in high-demand vocational areas, including:
• Solar Installation & Maintenance.
• Welding and Fabrication.
• Bakery & Confectioneries.
• Fashion and Garment Making.
The TVET-IDEAS Project is designed to equip participants with employable skills, promote entrepreneurship, and drive sustainable economic growth within Abia State and beyond.
This flag-off ceremony represents more than just the start of a training program, it signals a bold step toward youth empowerment, job creation, and the strengthening of Nigeria’s technical workforce.
Together, we are building capacity, creating opportunities, and shaping a more skilled future.
