Story Title: Daniel and the Lions’ Den – God’s Unstoppable Protection

Story:
Long ago, in the kingdom of Babylon, there lived a man named Daniel. He was wise, faithful, and deeply devoted to God. King Darius admired Daniel so much that he planned to make him the highest official in the land.

But the other leaders were jealous. They tricked the king into making a law: "For the next thirty days, no one may pray to any god or man except the king." Anyone who broke this law would be thrown into the lions’ den.

Daniel heard about the law… but nothing could stop him from praying to the one true God. He went to his window, faced Jerusalem, and prayed three times a day — just as he always had.

The jealous officials ran to tell the king. Though King Darius loved Daniel, he could not change the law. Daniel was arrested and thrown into the den of hungry lions.

That night, the king could not sleep. At sunrise, he rushed to the den and called, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God rescued you from the lions?”

From inside the den came Daniel’s voice: “My God sent His angel to shut the lions’ mouths. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in His sight.”

King Darius rejoiced! Daniel was lifted out without a single scratch. The king then made a new decree: “The God of Daniel is the living God, and He endures forever.”

What you should know about generosity: 1. Generosity, even in scarcity, moves God’s hand. 2. Having faith in God’s provision can lead to miraculous outcomes. 3. Treating others with mercy invites mercy into your life. 4. You never know when you're helping someone sent by God (see Hebrews 13:2).

THE STORY!!!!!

Title: The Parable of Hannah and the Empty Jar

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” — Matthew 5:7

In a small village by the river Jordan lived a widow named Hannah. She had only one son and a single jar of flour that never seemed to run dry. Each day, she baked bread and gave a portion to the poor, though she herself had very little.

One evening, as the sun was setting, a beggar knocked at her door. “Please, kind woman,” he said, “give me something to eat, for I have not eaten in two days.”

Hannah looked at her jar. It was nearly empty. Her son whispered, “Mother, if you give him what’s left, what shall we eat?”

She smiled and replied, “The Lord who gave us this jar shall fill it again.”

She took the last of the flour, made a small cake, and gave it to the beggar. The man ate, blessed her, and departed.

That night, as Hannah prepared to sleep, she heard a sound in her kitchen. She rose and found her jar filled to the brim—not only with flour, but with oil and honey as well.

From that day on, her house never lacked.

But that is not all.

One year later, her son fell ill and died suddenly. In anguish, Hannah wept to the Lord. That night, a man in shining clothes appeared to her and said, “I am the beggar you fed. The Lord sent me to test your heart. Because of your kindness, your son shall live.”

The man touched the boy, and life returned to him.

MORAL LESSONS:

1. Generosity, even in scarcity, moves God’s hand.
2. Faith in God’s provision opens doors to miracles.
3. Mercy shown to others invites mercy into your life.
4. You never know when you're helping someone sent by God (see Hebrews 13:2).

The Story

Title: The Tale of Eliab the Proud Farmer

"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." — Proverbs 16:18

In the days of the Judges, there lived a man named Eliab, a wealthy farmer in the land of Judah. His fields were vast, and his barns overflowed with grain. Every harvest, he gave thanks—but only with his lips, for his heart was lifted in pride.

One day, a humble traveler named Micah came to his gates, weary and hungry. “Kind sir,” he pleaded, “share with me but a loaf and a drink, for I have journeyed far.”

Eliab sneered, saying, “Why should I feed a wanderer who has not toiled in my fields? Go and work, and then you shall eat!”

Micah lifted his eyes to heaven and said, “The Lord sees the heart and repays each man according to his deeds.”

That night, a great storm rose from the east. The winds howled, and the rains poured without ceasing. Eliab's barns collapsed, his crops were flooded, and his wealth was washed away.

Homeless and in despair, Eliab wandered from village to village, seeking help—but many turned him away.

At last, he came to a small house on a hill, where a poor man welcomed him, fed him, and gave him rest. That man was Micah, the same traveler Eliab had once rejected.

Ashamed and weeping, Eliab fell to his knees. “Forgive me, brother. I was blind with pride and deaf to compassion.”

Micah lifted him and said, “The Lord humbles the proud and exalts the lowly. You are forgiven. Go now, and live with mercy.”

Moral Lessons:

1. Pride leads to downfall — those who exalt themselves will be humbled.

2. Show kindness to strangers — for you may be entertaining angels unaware (Hebrews 13:2).

3. What you sow, you shall reap — kindness brings mercy, but arrogance brings judgment.

4. True wealth is in humility and compassion, not in barns and fields.

*THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE*
Our Creator designed a beautiful world. He formed the mountains with His hands while breathing life into every creature. His creation is perfect, and we are amazed by His attention to detail. The smallest creatures have specific purposes, and He provides for them accordingly. We see His work in action and understand that He also tends to each detail of our lives. He provides for us physically and spiritually; we are thankful for His devotion.

*PRAY THIS PRAYER*
Dear God, You take care of every detail. We are thankful for Your attention to all of our needs. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Stop looking at your delay as denial. Delay is often God's setup for something greater. While you're hidden, He’s working. While you feel unseen, you’re being strengthened. While others may be racing, you’re being rooted.
