A ROYAL CALL TO DUTY

His Royal Majesty King, Dr, Disrael Gbobo Bob-manuel ii, Ekineye Gbobo Owukori ix, Esq, Ksc, DSSRS, UN-JP, Amanyanabo and paramount ruler of Abonnema and it's satellite communities and his entourage on his way to attend the Monthly Abonnema divisional council of traditional rulers and Chiefs meeting as the Chairman in council, the meeting holds every first Saturday of every month and was held yesterday 5th of September 2026

The Amanyanabo, Paramount Heads and the entire council of chiefs should be commended for the good work they are doing to keep Abonnema (Nyemoni) peaceful, together and progressing, some people may not see or may not want to commend or acknowledge it but their works are yealding good results, may God continue to bless and protect them

The River State Ministry of Health hereby notifies all chiefs and Traditional Rulers of the 2026 COMMUNITY BASED LYMPHATIC FILARIASIS MASS ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICINES (MAM) Scheduled to hold from 27th to 31st August 2026 in your Communities

During the campaign, eligible community member aged 5 years and above will receive safe and effective medicines free of charge from trained community Drug Distributors (CDDs) to protect them against lymphatic filariasis (ELEPHANTIASIS).

As respected community leaders, we kindly request your support to:

* Mobilize community members through town announcing and other appropriate channels
* Support the identification and selection of suitable CDDs who are trusted and acceptable within the community
* Encourage eligible community members to receive the medicines and reassure them of their safety and effectiveness

Your leadership and cooperation will contribute grateful to the success of the program and the elimination of lymphatic filariasis in Rivers State
