APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL ASSISTANTS AND SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANTS TO THE AKUKU-TORU LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

The Akuku-Toru council boss in person of Honourable Aboia-a Bob fubara today 20th of November 2025 at the council Secretariat in Abonnema (Nyemoni) the Akuku-Toru capital inaugurated the special advisers/assistants into their various portfolios and among the appointees is Chief Ibiosia Romeo Georgewll as the Senior Special adviser on Chieftaincy affairs

Congratulations to all the appointees and may God give them guidance in their new office

ABONNEMA (NYEMONI) EKINE SEKI-APU ANNUAL FESTIVAL

The Abonnema (Nyemoni) EKine Seki-apu yesterday the 15th of November held their yearly festival known as the EGENE MINJI IDERIMA. where a traditional ritual will be performed to turn the hight tide back

This festival is performed on the 15th of November every year and on that day, every girl and women are expected to tie a material called George over any thing they are wearing, George wrapper is a wrapper used in most of Kalabari people activities, any woman seen not tying the wrapper will be disciplined

The EKine Seki-apu are the custodians of Kalabari custom and tradition

A WORKING VISIT TO THE AKULGA COUNCIL. CHAIRMAN

Some members of the secretariat of the Abonnema divisional council of Traditional Ruler and Chiefs, Chief Alaye Oweredaba, Chief Ipalibo Peters and Chief Abiye Membere and also the Chairman on the Akuku-Toru council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs end of year planning committee, Chief Adokiye. A. Awari, today November 10 2025, paid a working visit to the Executive Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area Council. Honourable Aboia-a Bob fubara.

This meeting is one of the series of meetings held by the Traditional council and the Council Boss as the custodians of the tradition and law on how to move Abonnema the Akuku-Toru capital and other communities that make up the LGA forward

(Part 2) FUNERAL PROCESSION BY THE ABONNEMA DIVISIONAL COUNCIL OF TRADITIONAL RULER AND CHIEFS

The Above mentioned Council Ably led by their Chairman in council His Royal Majesty King, Dr Disrael Gbobo Bob-manuel ii, Ekineye Gbobo, Owukori ix, the Amanyanabo and paramount ruler of Abonnema and it's satellite communities yesterday Saturday October 18 2025 received the body of one of their colleague Late Alabo Elekima Godfrey Maclayton Jack (Maclayton iii, 2nd April 1948-28th May 2025.) and in a procession the body was escorted to his compound Iju Jack in Abonnema and according to tradition was received by the Paramount Head of the Iju Jack group of war canoe Chieftaincy houses and the Amanyanabo and other members of the council of Chiefs

The Chiefs later went and paid their last respect where the body was laid in state at the Iju Jack Memorial hall, after which they ( the chiefs ) escorted the body to St. Augustine's Anglican church Abonnema, for the Church service

His remains was laid to rest at his residence in Abonnema, may God give his family the strength to bear the loss and may his gentle soul rest in the bosom of the almighty God
