A Sincere Appeal to His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State
I, Ogbonnaya Onu Jnr, a concerned citizen of this great state, Ebonyi, take the liberty of bringing to your esteemed attention the paramount concerns plaguing our primary school teachers and the lamentable plight of our children who are coerced into hawking goods instead of pursuing their education. As the visionary leader of our illustrious state, we beseech you to ponder the far-reaching benefits of providing free education to these vulnerable children, thereby extricating them from the throes of poverty and empowering them for a more promising future.
The Desperate Situation of Primary School Teachers🥹
Our primary school teachers are grappling with egregious challenges, including meager remuneration, lack of motivation, and a dearth of resources. These devoted professionals are the linchpin of our education system, molding the minds of our future leaders and shaping the destiny of our state. However, their welfare and working conditions are woefully inadequate, precipitating a decline in the quality of education.
The Scourge of Child Hawking😥
A plethora of children in our state are compelled to hawk goods instead of attending school, perpetuating a vicious cycle of poverty and illiteracy. This phenomenon not only denies them their inherent right to education but also exposes them to manifold forms of exploitation and abuse. It is our collective responsibility to safeguard these children and provide them with opportunities for growth and development.
The Solution: Free Education
I earnestly urge your administration to consider implementing a free education policy for all children in Ebonyi State, particularly those who are currently engaged in hawking. This initiative would not only alleviate the financial burden on families but also ensure that our children receive the education they deserve. By investing in education, we can empower our youth to become productive citizens, contributing to the state's economic growth and development.
A Call to Action
I respectfully request that your administration takes immediate action to address the plight of our primary school teachers and the children who are forced to hawk goods. I urge you to:
1. Implement a free education policy for all children in Ebonyi State.
2. Improve the welfare and working conditions of primary school teachers.
3. Invest in education infrastructure to provide a conducive learning environment.
By doing so, we can collectively create a brighter future for our children and our state.
Sincerely,
Ogbonnaya Onu Jnr
