The 2024 Edition of the Outstanding Performance Awards and Lecture of Nigeria Today Magazine have been scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the prestigious Shehu Musa Yara’dua Centre, Central Business District, Abuja.

The event being put together by Nigeria Today Magazine, a global publication for the promotion of good governance and selfless service to humanity is meant to celebrate outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in their different field of endeavours, as well as corporate entities that have stood out in the actualisation of their mandate within the year in focus.

Highlights of the event includes, Anniversary Lecture, inauguration of Nigeria Today Magazine Hall of Fame, Presentation of Nigeria Today weekly magazine and award of honour to outstanding Nigerians and organisations.

According to the Project Coordinator, Malam Suleiman Mohammed, the event will be chaired by His Excellency, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, former Senate President and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, while His Excellency, Senator Adams Oshiomhole will deliver the Annual Lecture.

Explaining further, Malam Mohammed stated that nominations have been on for governors in different categories which will be announced before the event, while nominations have also been made for outstanding senators and members of the House of Representatives. Apart from individuals, outstanding corporate organisations will also be recognised and honoured at the event.

Mohammed summed up by saying that the event which promises to be a high profile one will attract prominent dignitaries from within and outside the country who will grace the occasion as Special Guests.

Breaking: Governor Ikpeazu Dissolves Body of Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Others

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has announced the dissolution of all appointees of government including his Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and others.

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem and made available to the press.

The dissolution is with immediate effect.

His Excellency Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the executive governor of Abia State, celebrated his 58th birthday in Umuebere in Umuobiakwa village, Isialaukwu Mbato Autonomous Community, Obingwa LGA of Abia State.

Honorable commissioners, cabinet members, political and public officeholders, party leaders, family members, friends, and well-wishers attended the birthday celebration, which was held in a lavish manner. Dignitaries like the regal royal fathers, the governor's chief of staff Chief Okey Ahiaiwe, the PDP candidate for governor, Prof. Eleazar Uche Ikonne, the PDP candidate for the state of Obingwa West, Elder Erondu Uchenna Erondu, the Honorable Sam Hart, Chancellor, Sam Hart Centre for Strategic Leadership, and many others were present.
