MARRY FROM YOUR CULTURAL BACKGROUND!!!

If you come from a strong culture where there are a lot of taboos surrounding marital relationships and you believe in those things strongly, I advice you try and marry from your background where both parties understand clearly the tradition, the dos and don’ts and the efficacy of the tradition and the consequences therein.

If you marry from a culture that has no such tradition, the person may not fully understand the traditions and the consequences; and God forbid, if there’s any case of abomination and he/she needs to do certain rituals or cleansing, the person might not really want you to subject him/ her to such traditions. This is enough to cause breakdown in a home.

I’ve seen beautiful and thriving inter ethnic marriages and even me, I intermarried. And I have also seen homes suffering as a result of different traditions. If you believe so much in your traditions, marry from there.
