AND THIS HAPPENED!!!!!...😳
Was it really her fault alone?
Of course "NO"!
I was happy to be involved in all her treatments plan, I was there in the theater during her hysteroscopy procedure as a Reproductive Physiologist, she had endometrial adhesions that had kept her trying to Conceive all these years and not only does her endometrium have such issues, she also had never come across a chance of information that let her know there's something called hysteroscopy test.
Yes she said she had done hysterosalpingography tests, hormone profile tests and scan test.
She said during her tests, fibroids were detected and she had imbalanced hormones.
She was focused on herself infertility causing disease treatment alone all those while, but getting to our hospital, we don't only focus on the woman when it comes to couples Infertility treatment, the man is also carried along.
After the man semen analysis, we found out the man have very poor s***m motility and with a very low concentration volume, with lots of big head and curved tails wagging very slow and some imobile e.t.c.
This too has to be considered in their infertility treatment.
They were actually peaceful patient, at least this helped us keep their emotion in check and help them focus as couple trying to conceive. Their treatments and Procedure were carried out successful.
Coming out from the Embryology lab after thawing a frozen Embryo for another ET, she came in with her husband and everybody exchanged pleasantries.
Their arrival to the hospital was too early for patients appointment time.
Maybe because they can't wait to delay their news of their infertility treatment result after the woman ET.
These particular patient, I have followed up her treatment meticulously, not because she's special than other patients but because not being informed about another route of such problem solution can rub one off lots of life problem solutions.
Physiologist; how are you dear?
She said to me....
"Fine thank you ma"...
How are you doing ma?...I replied her.
I don't understand my feelings for now she said to me with incomplete smiling cheeks as her eyes focused on my mouth as if to get her Pregnancy test result already from the opening of my mouth.
Madam don't worry, God is in good control; i reassured her.
Thank you so much my dear, she responded immediately.
I left her and went to the lab to assist the Chief Lab scientist to carry out other patients
Genotype tests,
Blood group tests,
serology tests,
hormonal Assey tests
and even lots of PT tests.
The lab work was too much for him to finish on time before it will get to his closing hour and the Chief Doctor while seeing other patients for consultation was also waiting for the results to know how other patients that have consulted him already infertility treatment and Procedures will commence.
The blood samples were already placed in the centrifuge to obtain their plasma.
I outlined the PT strips with each patient names written on it to differentiate each patients strip.
To make work easier, the PT blood samples and the hormonal assey blood samples were all spined at the same time because Doctor was also waiting for the result of the other patient that has been waiting for her AMH and Prolactin level result.
The Serums were obtained and we started with PT tests.
I can't wait to know the PT results of this woman that i can sense the pulse of her heart from her eyes for expectation that is not clearly stated 😊.
Oh gracious God!!!
It's actually positive with that two bold red lines.
I was already happy for her before her own serotonin could start circulating in her blood stream.
All the PT tests were ready and clearly written in each patients form and all were sent to Doctor to announce their good news to the ones present already as some other TTC couples were not yet around.
I was so happy for these patients.
Going to give the Chief Doctor the hormonal assey tests results for the other patient, she was in the Doctor's office crying with tears of joy and her husband very happy.
Immediately, she held my hand, "thank you so much my dear" she said to me with her white cornea turned light red as those tears the white handkerchief on her hand could not wipe run down the hill of her invisible zygomatic bone to her cheeks and then finally settled into her clothe she was putting on.
With that beautiful radiant smile on my cheeks, I replied "You are welcome ma'am, Congratulations ma".
That happiness was worth it.
She had fought this Infertility battle for seven (7) years and thank God the result of their IVF treatment was a positive Pregnancy test.
To all the TTC couples, ensure you find out the cause of your infertility case and get the right treatment; and congratulations in advance in your journey of becoming a parent.
To the Single Spinsters and Bachelors, don't wait till you go into marriage before knowing your fertility status.
Don't hesitate to go for fertility tests to ensure you are fertile and to detect that disease on time.
If it's caused by your life style or other infertility causing disease factors, you will be informed on time to get treatment on time and abstain from the cause.
May God bless every womb trying to conceive with babies and heal lots of persons suffering from one problem to the other that may not really be recognized as a body disease.
