📖 THE HOUSE THAT NEVER KNEW PEACE
📍Episode 1: A Family Built on Hidden Hatred

The village of Umuike was known for many things—rich farmland, hardworking people, and the magnificent mansion of the wealthy Chief Edwin Okorie.

From the outside, his family looked perfect.
They were respected.
They were wealthy.
They were powerful.

But behind the tall gates of the Okorie compound...
Every meal ended in an argument.
Every celebration ended in tears.
Every smile hid another secret.
The house had not known peace for over twenty years.

One rainy evening, Chief Edwin sat alone in his study, staring at an old family photograph.
His trembling hands touched the face of his late wife, Grace.
A single tear rolled down his cheek.
"I failed you..." he whispered.

Before he could wipe his tears, loud voices erupted downstairs.
Again.
His children were fighting.
"I built this company!" shouted Michael, the eldest son.
"You built nothing!" his younger brother David yelled back. "Father handed everything to you because you're his favorite!"

Michael slammed his fist on the dining table.
"At least I know how to run a business!"
"And I know how to tell the truth!"
Their wives joined the quarrel.

Soon everyone was shouting.
Plates crashed.
Children began crying.
Servants quietly disappeared into the kitchen.
Nobody wanted to get caught in another Okorie family war.

Upstairs...
Chief Edwin slowly closed his eyes.
The shouting reminded him of the promise he had made to his dying wife.
"Protect this family... no matter what happens."
But he had failed.

Every single day, hatred grew stronger.
Only one person remained silent.
The youngest daughter, Ada, stood in the corner, watching everyone destroy each other with words.

She whispered softly,
"One day... all of us will regret this."
No one heard her.
Or perhaps...
No one wanted to.

That same night...
An old woman wearing a faded wrapper stopped outside the Okorie mansion.
She looked at the house with sad eyes.
Then she smiled.

"So..."
"The curse is still working."
She turned around and disappeared into the darkness before anyone could see her.
Inside the mansion...

The fighting continued long into the night.
None of them knew...
The hatred tearing their family apart had started many years ago.
And the real story...
Had only just begun.

📖 THE PRINCESS WHO REFUSED SEVEN PRINCES
📍Episode 5: The Prince Who Chose Honor

The thunder of marching feet shook the earth.
From the palace walls, the people of Ọlọra watched in terror as the enemy army surrounded the kingdom from every direction.

Black banners fluttered in the wind.
War horns echoed across the hills.
The mysterious masked commander slowly rode to the front of his army.

He lifted his sword toward the palace.
"My patience is running out!"
"Hand over Princess Adunni..."
"...and I will spare your people."

Fear spread through the crowd.
The royal council immediately gathered around King Adeyẹwo.
One elderly chief whispered,
"Your Majesty... perhaps we should surrender the princess."

The palace fell silent.
Queen Adesewa stepped forward angrily.
"My daughter is not a sacrifice!"
King Adeyẹwo struck his royal staff against the floor.

BANG!
"No king protects his throne by abandoning his child."
Princess Adunni looked at her father with tears in her eyes.

Before she could speak...
Prince Zubair smiled.
"I warned you."
"One life..."
"...for an entire kingdom."
Princess Jabari stepped toward him furiously.
"So you would hand over an innocent woman?"

Prince Zubair shrugged.
"A ruler must make difficult choices."
Prince Chinedu stepped between them.
"No."
"A true ruler protects the innocent."

Prince Tariq drew his sword.
"I did not travel across kingdoms to watch cowards surrender."
Prince Kofi removed his jeweled cloak.
"If gold cannot save lives..."
"...then let my sword speak instead."

Prince Seyi twirled his spear and smiled.
"I was hoping this journey would become interesting."
Prince Damilare quietly walked to the palace gate.
Without saying a word...
He stood beside the royal guards.
Princess Adunni watched them in disbelief.

The six princes had made their choice.
Only Prince Zubair remained apart.
Outside the walls...
The masked commander raised his hand.
"Attack!"

Hundreds of enemy warriors charged toward the palace.
Arrows filled the sky.
The great battle had begun.
Prince Jabari led the first charge.
Prince Tariq fought like a seasoned general.
Prince Kofi shielded frightened villagers as they escaped.

Prince Seyi rescued trapped children from burning houses.
Prince Damilare silently defeated enemy after enemy.
Prince Chinedu fought beside Princess Adunni, refusing to leave her side.

The people watched in amazement.
These men had arrived seeking a bride...
But now they were risking their lives for strangers.

Meanwhile...
Prince Zubair quietly slipped away from the battlefield.
Hidden beneath the cover of smoke...
He rode toward the enemy camp.

There...
The mysterious masked commander removed one glove and extended his hand.
Prince Zubair smiled.
"So..."
"Our agreement still stands?"

The masked commander nodded.
"When Ọlọra falls..."
"You shall receive your reward."
Neither of them noticed...

Mama Ifetayo was watching from the shadows.
She whispered softly,
"The greatest betrayal has finally revealed itself."

❓ Question

Has Prince Zubair secretly joined forces with the enemy?
Who is the mysterious masked commander hiding beneath the mask?
Will the six loyal princes be able to defend the Ọlọra Kingdom before the traitor destroys everything from within?

📖 THE PRINCESS WHO REFUSED SEVEN PRINCES

📍 Episode 4: The Battle Before the Choice

The palace gates swung open.
The wounded horseman tumbled from his exhausted horse and collapsed before King Adeyẹwo.

Royal guards rushed to lift him.
His breathing was heavy.
His clothes were soaked with blood and dust.
"Your Majesty..." he gasped.
"The northern villages... have fallen."

A wave of panic swept through the royal courtyard.
"What?"
"Impossible!"
"Our soldiers guard the northern border!"

The messenger shook his head weakly.
"They came before dawn..."
"They burned farms..."
"Destroyed homes..."
"And they are marching toward Ọlọra Palace."

The people screamed in fear.
Mothers clutched their children.
Royal guards immediately surrounded the king and queen.
King Adeyẹwo turned to his commanders.
"Sound the war drums."
"Close every palace gate."
"Prepare every soldier."

The mighty war drums echoed across Ọlọra Kingdom.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Their thunderous rhythm warned every village that danger had arrived.

Queen Adesewa looked at Princess Adunni with worried eyes.
"My daughter..."
"You must remain inside the palace."
But Princess Adunni shook her head.
"If my people are in danger..."
"I cannot hide behind palace walls."

The queen stared at her in disbelief.
King Adeyẹwo smiled proudly.
"You truly are my daughter."

Meanwhile...
The seven princes gathered together.
Prince Jabari immediately drew his sword.
"I came here seeking a wife..."
"But I will never abandon innocent people."

Prince Damilare quietly unsheathed his blade.
"Today..."
"Our actions will speak louder than our words."

Prince Seyi twirled his spear confidently.
"Looks like destiny has changed today's celebration."

Prince Kofi removed his royal necklace.
"My wealth means nothing if this kingdom falls."

Prince Tariq nodded firmly.
"A true prince never runs from battle."
Prince Chinedu looked directly at Princess Adunni.
"You defended your freedom."
"Now let us defend your kingdom."

Only Prince Zubair remained still.
He folded his arms.
"This is not my kingdom."
"My soldiers will not fight another king's war."
The other princes stared at him.

Prince Jabari stepped forward angrily.
"People are dying!"
Prince Zubair smirked.
"And?"
"If Ọlọra falls..."
"One less kingdom stands in my way."

The courtyard erupted in shock.
Princess Adunni looked at him with disappointment.
"So..."
"Your heart desired power all along."

Prince Zubair smiled coldly.
"Power is the only crown worth wearing."
Before anyone could answer...
A deafening explosion shook the palace walls.

BOOM!
Smoke rose into the sky.
One of the northern watchtowers collapsed.
The royal guards shouted,
"They have reached the city!"

The people scattered in every direction.
Children cried.
War horns echoed throughout the kingdom.

Mama Ifetayo closed her eyes tightly.
"The prophecy is unfolding..."
She slowly pointed toward Princess Adunni.
"The seven princes were never brought here for marriage..."
"They were brought here..."
"...to reveal who truly deserves a crown."

Every prince looked at one another.
For the first time...
Their mission had changed.
It was no longer about winning Princess Adunni's heart.
It was about proving the kind of men they truly were.

Far beyond the palace walls...
A massive army emerged from the dust.
Hundreds of warriors marched beneath black banners.

At their front rode a mysterious masked commander dressed in black armor.
He raised his sword toward Ọlọra Kingdom.
Then, in a chilling voice, he declared...
"Bring me Princess Adunni..."
"...alive."

Question:

Who is the mysterious masked commander?
Why does he want Princess Adunni alive?
Will Prince Zubair betray the kingdom for power, or will he change his mind before it's too late?

📖 THE PRINCESS WHO REFUSED SEVEN PRINCES

📍Episode 2: The Impossible Decision

The morning sun rose over Ọlọra Kingdom, bathing the royal palace in a golden glow.
Royal trumpets echoed across the land.
The palace courtyard sparkled with colorful banners, fresh flowers, and golden decorations.

Drummers filled the air with energetic rhythms while dancers entertained thousands of visitors who had gathered from neighboring kingdoms.
Never before had Ọlọra witnessed such a magnificent gathering.

The seven princes, dressed in their finest royal garments, stood proudly in a grand semicircle before the royal throne.
Each prince believed he would return home with the hand of Princess Adunni.

King Adeyẹwo rose from his throne and raised his royal staff.
Instantly, silence swept across the palace courtyard.
"My beloved people," the king declared, "today is a historic day for Ọlọra Kingdom. Seven honorable princes have traveled from far and wide, seeking the hand of my beloved daughter."

Thunderous applause filled the courtyard.
The king smiled before continuing.
"But according to our tradition.....only one shall be chosen."
The princes exchanged confident smiles.

Prince Kofi quietly admired the expensive gifts he had brought.
Prince Tariq adjusted his royal robe proudly.
Prince Zubair looked around the palace as though it already belonged to him.
Prince Seyi whispered a joke that made nearby guards struggle not to laugh.

Prince Damilare remained silent, studying everyone around him.
Prince Jabari stood confidently with the posture of a fearless warrior.
Only Prince Chinedu watched Princess Adunni carefully, saying nothing.

Queen Adesewa turned gently toward her daughter.
"My child," she said softly, "the time has come. Follow your heart."

Princess Adunni slowly rose to her feet.
Every eye in the kingdom followed her.
She gracefully walked toward the center of the royal courtyard.
The royal drummers stopped playing.
Even the birds seemed to fall silent.

One after another...
The seven princes stepped forward.
Prince Tariq bowed proudly.
"Princess Adunni, together we can build the greatest kingdom Africa has ever known."
Prince Kofi smiled confidently.
"I will give you every treasure your heart desires."
Prince Zubair spoke boldly.
"Stand beside me, and together we shall rule kingdoms."

Prince Seyi grinned.
"I promise you a lifetime of laughter."
Prince Damilare simply said,
"I speak little... but I keep every promise."
Prince Jabari stepped forward proudly.
"No one will ever dare harm you while I live."
Finally....

Prince Chinedu looked into her eyes.
"I seek not only your beauty...
I wish to know your heart."
The crowd murmured with excitement.

Surely...
One of them would be chosen.
King Adeyẹwo smiled proudly.
"My daughter..."
"Who among these noble princes has won your heart?"

Princess Adunni took a deep breath.
She looked carefully at each prince.
Then she turned toward her father.
Toward her mother.
Toward the cheering crowd.
Her voice was calm...

But every word shook the kingdom.
"Father..."
"Mother..."
"I refuse."
The entire palace froze.
The drummers dropped their sticks.
The dancers stopped moving.
The smiles vanished from the princes' faces.
Some villagers gasped.
Others stared in disbelief.

King Adeyẹwo slowly rose from his throne.
"...What did you say?"
Princess Adunni stood firm.
"I will not marry any of the seven princes."
The courtyard exploded into confusion.
"What?"
"Did she refuse all of them?"
"Has anyone ever done this before?"

Prince Jabari clenched his fists.
Prince Kofi's smile disappeared.
Prince Tariq looked deeply insulted.
Prince Zubair's face darkened with anger.
Only Prince Chinedu remained calm...
As though he had expected this moment.

Princess Adunni raised her voice for all to hear.
"I am not a prize to be won."
"I will never marry because of tradition, pressure, wealth, or power."
"When the right time comes..."
"I will choose with my own heart."

Silence fell once again.
No one had ever heard words like these from a royal princess.
Far away...
Hidden among the crowd...
An old mysterious woman smiled quietly.
"The prophecy..."
"...has begun."

🔥 Cliffhanger 🔥
Who is the mysterious old woman?
What prophecy was she talking about?
Will the seven princes accept Princess Adunni's shocking decision...Or will her refusal ignite a conflict that could change Ọlọra Kingdom forever?

📖 THE PRINCESS WHO REFUSED SEVEN PRINCES

📍Episode 1: The Princess Who Chose Her Own Destiny

Far beyond the rolling emerald hills of Ọlọra Kingdom, where crystal-clear streams danced gently over smooth rocks and birds welcomed every sunrise with joyful songs, life was peaceful and prosperous.

The fertile farmlands stretched as far as the eye could see. Farmers returned home each evening with overflowing baskets, while traders filled the bustling market square with colorful fabrics, spices, carved sculptures, and cheerful laughter.

Children ran barefoot through the village paths, chasing butterflies beneath the shade of ancient iroko trees.

At sunset, elders gathered beneath the great village tree, sharing stories that had been passed down through generations as the cool evening breeze carried the sweet scent of blooming flowers across the kingdom.

It was a kingdom blessed with abundance
A kingdom admired by neighboring lands
A kingdom where justice ruled and peace reigned.
At the heart of this glorious kingdom stood a magnificent royal palace, built with towering carved pillars, golden ornaments, and wide courtyards where royal guards stood watch day and night.

The kingdom was ruled by the wise and respected King Adeyẹwo and his beloved wife, Queen Adesewa.

For over twenty years, they ruled with compassion, fairness, and honor. Their people loved them not because of their crowns, but because they treated every citizen like family.

Yet despite all their wealth and influence...
Their greatest treasure was neither gold nor land.
It was their only child...
Princess Adunni.

She was beautiful beyond words, but beauty alone was never what made people admire her.
She possessed wisdom beyond her age, a kind heart that touched everyone she met, and a fearless spirit that refused to bow before injustice.

Whenever the poor cried, she listened.
Whenever the elderly needed help, she was the first to offer her hands.
And whenever the kingdom celebrated, she celebrated among the people—not above them.

Because of her kindness, the people lovingly called her...
"The People's Princess."

As the years passed, Princess Adunni blossomed into a graceful young woman, and news of her beauty, intelligence, and noble character spread far beyond Ọlọra Kingdom.

Soon...
Powerful kings began sending gifts.
Jewels.
Precious horses.
Rare fabrics.
Even chests filled with gold.
But the greatest prize they sought.....was not an alliance.
It was Princess Adunni's hand in marriage.

Within a few months, seven royal princes arrived from seven mighty kingdoms.
There was Prince Tariq, the confident foreign prince who believed every woman admired him.

Prince Chinedu, calm and intelligent, whose smile hid a dangerous secret.

Prince Kofi, the wealthy prince convinced that money could win any heart.

Prince Zubair, ambitious and determined to gain greater power through marriage.

Prince Seyi, charming, playful, and always ready with a joke.

Prince Damilare, quiet and mysterious, who rarely spoke but observed everything.

And finally...
Prince Jabari, the fearless warrior prince who believed courage alone deserved every reward.

The entire kingdom erupted with excitement.
"This is the greatest gathering of princes our kingdom has ever witnessed!" the villagers exclaimed.

Even neighboring kingdoms sent visitors just to witness the historic occasion.
The palace was decorated with colorful banners.
Royal drummers rehearsed day and night.
The finest cooks prepared magnificent feasts.
Everyone believed the princess would soon choose one prince.....and history would be made.

But unknown to them...
Princess Adunni had already made a decision that would leave the seven princes, the royal family, and the entire kingdom speechless.

📖 THE MAN WHO REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE

📍Part 3: The Beginning of the Fall

The next morning...
Chief Osahon barely slept.
The words of his wife echoed repeatedly in his mind.
"Your pride may cost you everything."

He sat alone in his office, staring at Daniel's personnel file.
For the first time in over twenty years...
He began to question himself.

Just then...
The company's legal adviser burst into the office.
"Chief... we have another problem."
Chief Osahon looked up impatiently.
"What now?"
"The government has reviewed the contract."
"And?"
"They've rejected our request for a price adjustment."

Chief Osahon froze.
"What do you mean?"
"The contract has already been signed."
"There is no legal way to increase the budget."

Silence filled the room.
"If we continue with this project..."
"We'll lose almost half a billion naira."
Chief Osahon slowly removed his glasses.
His hands were shaking.

Across town...
Daniel arrived at the magnificent headquarters of Prime Crest Engineering.
The reception staff welcomed him warmly.

"Good morning, Mr. Daniel."
"We've been expecting you."
For the first time since he was humiliated...
Someone appreciated his value.
Inside the boardroom...

Managing Director Amina Bello stood up and shook his hand.
"I've heard about what happened."
Daniel smiled politely.
"I only tried to do the right thing."

Amina nodded.
"That's exactly why we wanted you."
She slid a document across the table.
"This company doesn't reward people who keep quiet."
"We reward people who protect the truth."

Daniel looked at the offer.
Operations Director
Salary: Twice his previous pay
Company SUV.
Official residence.
Performance bonuses.
Daniel could hardly believe his eyes.

Back at Igiehon Construction...
The directors were panicking.
Banks had begun asking questions.
Suppliers demanded confirmation of payment.

One investor angrily slammed his fist on the conference table.
"Who approved these figures?"
Nobody answered.

Finally...
Everyone slowly turned toward Chief Osahon.
For the first time...
He had no one else to blame.

That evening...
Mrs. Efe found her husband sitting alone in the dark.
Without saying a word...
She placed Daniel's business card on the table.
"Call him."

Chief Osahon looked at it.
His pride fought against his conscience.
"I can't."
"You can."
"He'll laugh at me."
"No."
"He'll respect the man who finally admits he was wrong."
Chief Osahon remained silent.

Elsewhere...
Daniel was celebrating with his parents.
His mother wiped tears from her eyes.
"God never forgets those who do what is right."

His father smiled proudly.
"They pushed you out..."
"But God opened a bigger door."
Daniel's phone buzzed again.
Unknown number.

He answered.
"Hello?"
The voice on the other end spoke softly.
"Mr. Daniel..."
"I'm calling on behalf of Chief Osahon."
Daniel's smile slowly disappeared.
The room fell silent.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Has Chief Osahon finally decided to swallow his pride... or is another shocking twist about to unfold?

📖 THE MAN WHO REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE

📍Part 4: The Power of Humility (Final Part)

The entire room fell silent.
Daniel slowly lowered his phone.
"I'm calling on behalf of Chief Osahon," the voice repeated.
"My name is Barrister Kelvin Obaseki, the company's legal adviser."

Daniel's expression remained calm.
"Chief Osahon would like to meet with you."
Daniel hesitated.
"To discuss what?"
There was a brief pause.
"...To apologize."
Daniel closed his eyes for a moment.

After everything that had happened...
He never expected to hear those words.
"I'll think about it," he replied before ending the call.

Meanwhile...
Inside Igiehon Construction...
The atmosphere was completely different.
Reporters had begun asking questions.
Suppliers were refusing to release materials.

Banks had suspended additional credit facilities.
Investors demanded an emergency meeting.
Chief Osahon walked into the boardroom.

For the first time in his career...
No one stood up to welcome him.
One elderly director finally spoke.
"Chief..."
"Our company is collapsing."
Another director added,
"We have only one person who understands how to fix this project."

Everyone already knew the answer.
"Daniel."
Chief Osahon lowered his head.
His pride had finally brought him to this moment.

Later that afternoon...
Chief Osahon arrived at Prime Crest Engineering.
His expensive SUV stopped at the entrance.
Employees recognized him immediately.

Whispers filled the reception.
"Isn't that the man who fired Daniel?"
"He looks different today."
He did.
The confidence that once filled his face had disappeared.

Inside Amina Bello's office...
Daniel sat across from his new Managing Director.
Amina looked at him.
"You don't have to see him if you don't want to."

Daniel smiled gently.
"Everyone deserves the chance to make things right."
Amina nodded.
"I'll arrange the meeting."

A few minutes later...
Chief Osahon walked into the conference room.
Daniel stood respectfully.
For several seconds...
Neither man spoke.

Finally...
Chief Osahon took a deep breath.
He looked Daniel straight in the eyes.
His voice trembled.
"Daniel..."
"I was wrong."
The room became silent.
"I allowed my pride to blind me."
"You tried to save my company..."
"And I humiliated you."

He swallowed hard.
"For twenty years, I believed saying 'I'm sorry' made a man weak."
A tear rolled down his cheek.
"Today I know it takes far more strength to admit you're wrong."
He stretched out his hand.
"Please..."
"Forgive me."
Daniel looked at him quietly.

Then...
He smiled.
"I forgive you, Chief."
"But forgiveness doesn't erase consequences."
Chief Osahon nodded.
"I know."

Daniel continued.
"You've taught me something too."
"No company succeeds because of one man."
"It succeeds when leaders are willing to listen."
Chief Osahon smiled through his tears.
"You're right."

Weeks later...
With Daniel's professional advice as an external consultant, the company successfully renegotiated parts of the project and prevented an even greater financial disaster.

Though Igiehon Construction still suffered heavy losses...
It survived.
Chief Osahon also changed.
He began listening to junior staff.
He welcomed corrections.

Whenever he made a mistake...
He said two words that once seemed impossible.
"I'm sorry."

Employees could hardly believe the transformation.
The office that once operated in fear...
Now operated with respect.

Months later...
At the company's annual awards ceremony...
Chief Osahon stood before hundreds of employees.
He smiled proudly.
"My greatest achievement isn't the buildings we've constructed."
"It's the lesson I learned."

He looked toward Daniel.
"Pride almost destroyed everything I spent twenty years building."
"But humility saved what pride nearly buried."
The hall erupted in applause.

Mrs. Efe smiled with tears of joy.
Daniel's parents clapped proudly from the audience.
Amina Bello nodded with satisfaction.
Sometimes...
The strongest people are not those who never fall...
But those humble enough to admit they were wrong and rise again.

THE END

Moral Lesson:

Pride closes doors that humility can open. A sincere apology does not make you weak—it reveals true strength.

Leaders who listen earn respect, while leaders ruled by pride risk losing everything.
