*Soludo and His Adjutants in Messier Doldrums:*
*As the Peter Obi Popper Sticks Way-down their Throat*

When Vanguard Newspaper of September 26, 2026 flew the caption, _“Anambra to Peter Obi: Governance is about people’s welfare, not savings,”_ the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo, in continuation of its self-conflagration smoothly showed the world the very position in which the Peter Obi hook that they swallowed is stuck in their throat. One can swear by whatever is held in awe, that madness has got a new colouration, as exemplified by the current genre of Soludo.
The publication caption shows Soludo as accusing Mr Peter Obi of _“concealing his administration’s debts in the handover notes he prepared while leaving office in 2014”_ showing how they successfully admitted the frustration in which the current Anambra State government landed itself by launching the image tarnishing missiles against Peter Obi in the first place.
The $123.77 million naira debt accusation heaped on Peter Obi seemed not to have caused the expected damage to his political career, instead, it fetched him more support and followership worldwide. As the barrage of lies in Soludo’s projectiles continued to ooze with every iota of wickedness, envy and malice, his government has, by the current publication, admitted that Peter Obi saved money for Anambra. Self-contradiction, right? Recall that Soludo and his acolytes never accepted in the first place that Peter Obi saved money for Anambra State.
So, how come the subject of denial has become a crux of accusation? Here’s the stretch: [A] Peter Obi said he left over $150 million in Anambra State treasury and investments. Charles Soludo never challenged this claim till the 2027 presidential campaign kicked off. The target? You can guess. [B] Charles Soludo accused Peter Obi of leaving behind a huge debt of $123.77 million while leaving office. This means that Obi did not save money. Rather he left empty coffers. [C] Nigerians reacted and hurled Soludo with deserving invectives. And seeing that the satanic nuances in him were reaching migraine heights, Soludo docked away momentarily to frame the next attack against Peter Obi. [D] Soludo stuck out his head again like a hungry reptile, saying through his aide, that _“Governance is about people’s welfare, not savings.”_ This means that Soludo has agreed that Peter Obi saved money in Anambra State coffers, after all.
What about the extra accusation of Obi’s government having obtained _“loans for projects, including malaria control, education, healthcare, erosion management, community development, and value chain development?”_ Does Soludo think that image tarnishing could work against a man whose records are so glaring for all to see? Not to worry, there is nothing a hater cannot do, to appear sanctimonious in dumb-foolery.
Peter Obi, who by the way, did not handover to Soludo, however, reiterated that _“assuming he actually left a debt of $123.77 million (which he didn't), the yields from the $150 million would have paid off the debt by now, while leaving the principal intact.”_ Meanwhile Soludo’s government also released a ridiculous document, claiming that Peter Obi’s administration also left ₦363 million in salary and arrears owed to workers, among other outstanding debts which turned out to be a convoluted accusation.
The huge question is, _“How come Law Mefor, Commissioner for Information and Value Re-orientation, rose up one Saturday and accused Peter Obi of placing primacy on savings over the people’s welfare, and concealing debts while handing over in 2014”_ (Vanguard, September 26, 2026). It appears all the more, that Prof Soludo has nothing else in his chequered governmental agenda, other than attacking Peter Obi in the primitive manner he does.
As Peter Obi continues to be the nightmare of Charles Soludo, more Nigerians are making up their minds to Vote Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, come 2027. We want a president who can represent us at United Nations General Assembly, UNGA not the one who would dodge into another country for fear of being arrested over international drug trafficking indictments while other world leaders converge for the betterment of their countries. Nigeria must be OK!
