I wrote a script for my radio content four years ago which I've completely forgotten but just saw it on the systems while searching for a particular file.
Here are the excerpts from the long script, hope it will bless someone.
MARITAL DISCUSSIONS
TOPIC: Would Parents like to give out their daughters to hug from other denominations?
Parents may give their daughter in marriage to a church with different doctrines, such as from Pentecostal to Catholic or Anglican. The Bible's perspective on interdenominational marriage varies, with some denominations permitting it and others advising caution, citing verses like 2 Corinthians 6:14–15, while also making allowances as referenced in 1 Corinthians 7:14–15.
When God instituted marriage nothing like denominators...
15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
18 And the LORD God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."
19 Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And Adam said: " This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
1) There was no denomination
2) When Jesus attended the marriage at Canaan of Galilee there was also no denomination.
1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."
4 Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come."
5 His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it."
6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece.
7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it.
9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
10 And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"
11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.
One of the major denominational challenges I discovered over the years is knowledge based that causes disparity between the Understanding and Interpretation (exposition and disposition) of the scriptures.
Again sir, we shall add up these: -
1. Prov 10:1 Why should he be a grief of the mother, and not the father, after all he bears the father's name.
2. *****It's a grief for the both sirs, the difference here is the customary cultures and God's preferences and plans for Man
1) Jewish Culture- (even in Nigeria we have similar Culture- where everything about a child’s perfect attributes or good behavior is ascribe to the father and the bad, the ugly belongs to the mother.
****However, it is believed that children are closer to the mother, all the good, the bad and the ugly could be easily and quickly learned from the mother meanwhile, the father during his stay at home will always give good instructions that is to be impressed on the children by mother if the result of moral trainings are not manifested by the children the mother takes the blame as this will also blow your mind. When everything is perfect and good the mother takes the lion share.
****To round up on this culture, The Proverb according to our understanding was written by Solomon the father of many WIVES and children, Father of wisdom himself, Who the mother helped to ascend the throne of his father irrespective of the illegitimacy circumstances around him) his judgement could also be right to a large extent considering the happenings in the society today.
2) The preference and placement of Man in God's plans.
GOD prefer to deal with Man and the man to deal with the woman in all ramification. God firstly created and provided for the Man, later God created the woman out of the Man so that Man can provide and Care for the woman but everything was altered by the disobedience to the instructions of God whereby disobedience became hereditary.
God did not call Eve when He came to judge them neither spare Adam in the punishment rather, he suffered the severe penalty. So, when apportioning the blame of children failures on the mothers to some extent it is correct biblically and culturally, but the grief is suffered by both parents.
Man disobeyed his Maker and children began to also disobey their parents because disobedience has become heredity. Disorderliness came in to the game then things became worse.
To be continued....
