HISTORY AND GISTS!

The First circular Afro Musician From Bekwarra was
Ukani Adie Otogbo from Gakem.

Ukani Otogbo took his musical tours through Cross River State,Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa and Ebonyi State Respectively.

Ukani Otogbo tones were majorly in Bekwarra Language mixed with Tiv, Hausa and English.

Ukani Adie Otogbo was a solo artist who played both his instrument and singing uses a set of Ebédun ( A traditionally made guitar common to the Bekwarra people of West Africa)

Some of his lyrics include:-

This week, we shine a spotlight on remarkable individuals who embody patriotism, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the Bekwarra community.

Mother Regina Uwo'Ogar.
A legendary figure in African traditional music, Mother Regina Uwo'Ogar captivates audiences with her soulful melodies sung in the Bekwarra language interspersed with Nigerian Pidgin. Her music resonates deeply, awakening the spirit and conscience of her listeners while providing encouragement to those who may feel weary or disheartened.

His Royal Majesty King Linus Ogbeche,
As the esteemed Chairman of the Bekwarra Traditional Council and the revered Ushie Ebeshe Ka'kpa of Bekwarra Agba Kingdom, His Royal Majesty King Linus Ogbeche is a pillar of strength and a beacon of reform. He tirelessly works to protect and promote the rich cultural heritage of Bekwarra, ensuring that traditions are cherished and passed down through generations.

Honourable Theresa Ushie
A trailblazer in her own right, Honourable Theresa Ushie serves as the Executive Chairman of Bekwarra Local Government Area and proudly holds the distinction of being the first elected female Council Boss in Bekwarra Local Government. Her leadership has paved the way for greater representation and progress, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.

On behalf of the Bekwarra people, the Bekwarra Storyteller extends heartfelt gratitude to these outstanding personalities for their unwavering commitment and service to our community. We encourage them to continue living impactful lives, inspiring others along the way.
