Fintiri Eases Mubi Curfew, Urges Residents to Maintain Peace
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has relaxed the curfew imposed on Mubi Local Government Area following an improvement in the security situation.
Under the new arrangement, vehicular movement, including tricycles and electric bicycles, will be restricted between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily, while pedestrians are allowed to move until 10:00 p.m.
Governor Fintiri commended Mubi residents for their cooperation and compliance with the earlier curfew, saying their support contributed to the restoration of peace in the area.
The Governor described Mubi as a major commercial centre in Adamawa State and the North-East, stressing that sustained peace is essential for businesses, markets and other economic activities to thrive.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies, while warning criminal elements against actions capable of disrupting the prevailing peace.
Governor Fintiri also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with traditional rulers, community leaders, youth and women groups to consolidate the security gains and keep Mubi safe and conducive for commerce.
