Yesterday I honored the invitation to attend a policy roundtable Youth Dialogue For Change which anchored on advancing youth representation in the Nigerian forthcoming 11th Parliament.

It was an opportunity to engage with Political Parties Chairmen, Youth Leaders, CSO’s executives on youth candidacy ahead of parties primaries for National and State Assembly 2026.

We further discussed problems affecting young people having limited representation in governance such as godfathers interference, funding, age limit etc and how we can tackle them as we pushed for YOUTH QUOTAS up to the range of 20%-30% in National Assembly which also have passed first reading.

I contributed that the youth need to operate in the spirit of unty in this matter, as power is not given but taken. I also buttressed that the kingdom of God suffereth violence, but the violent taketh it by force emphasizing that this violence is the violence of unity and one vioce to achieving this goal.

STANDING WITH PLATEAU STATE IN GRIEF AND IN HOPE

The City Boy Movement (National) receives with a heavy heart the tragic events in Plateau State that have led to the loss of innocent lives and left many families in deep pain.

In moments like this, words often fall short. No family should have to endure such loss, no community should be thrown into mourning in this way. We share in the grief of the people of Plateau State, and we hold in our thoughts the families whose lives have been forever changed.

But even in grief, we must not lose sight of who we are as a people. Nigeria is strongest when we stand together — not divided by fear, but united by compassion, resilience, and a shared commitment to peace.

We call on all stakeholders — community leaders, residents, and security agencies — to come together with renewed purpose to protect lives and preserve the peace we all desire. Justice must be pursued, but equally, we must rebuild trust, strengthen our bonds, and refuse to let violence define our communities.

To the people of Plateau State: you are not alone. The entire nation stands with you. Your strength in the face of pain inspires hope, and your resilience reminds us that even in our darkest moments, light can still emerge.

The City Boy Movement remains committed to a Nigeria where every citizen feels safe, valued, and protected. This is a responsibility we must all carry — together.

May God comfort every grieving heart, heal the wounded, and grant Plateau State peace that endures.

Four years ago, at a very uncertain time in my life, after the youth leader tension, you chose not to write me off. Instead, you took me in, believed in me, and entrusted me with another opportunity to serve this time in an even more meaningful capacity. That moment changed my life, and I carry that gratitude with me every single day.

You didn’t just give me a role; you gave me direction, purpose, and a renewed sense of responsibility.
