CNECOF International Announces Salary Increment for Staff in Response to Inflation.
The Executive Director of CNECOF INTERNATIONAL, El-Polycarp Yusuf Degri (FILHE), has announced a significant salary increment for the staff of CNECOF INTERNATIONAL College, Putoki effective January 2025. This bold step underscores the organization’s dedication to addressing the economic realities faced by its workforce, even as Nigerian civil servants anticipate the implementation of their new minimum wage.
The revised salary structure is as follows:
Degree Holders: Monthly salaries will range from ₦35,000 to ₦60,000.
NCE/Diploma Holders: Monthly salaries will range from ₦26,000 to ₦55,000.
SSCE Holders (Security, Cleaners, and Nannies): Monthly salaries will range from ₦21,000 to ₦30,000. And there's going to be annual increment, with promotion after every two years,
With free Accomodation, water and utilities in the center without spending money on transportation to work.
Despite the school’s location in a remote rural area, where most students doesn't pay school fees, yet of CNECOF INTERNATIONAL remains committed to improving the welfare of its staff. The Executive Director highlighted the institution’s unique challenges, stating, "Operating in a rural environment presents many financial constraints, but we believe investing in our teachers is investing in the future of our children and community."
The announcement was made by the Director of Information and Technology ( Mr. Emmanuel) through Mr. Victor E.C., the Media and Publicity Officer of the organization. The disclosure occurred during the Annual Financial Report for 2024 and the Budget Presentation for 2025 at the North Central Zonal Headquarters in Jos, Plateau State.
The Executive Director further called on private school owners nationwide to consider similar salary adjustments in light of the rising inflation rate affecting everyone. "We all buy from the same markets as government workers," he remarked. "Ensuring teachers are fairly compensated will motivate them to deliver quality education and drive progress in the sector."
Mr. Degri also appealed to parents to support schools during these challenging times, as rising costs for educational materials and equipment may necessitate modest adjustments in school fees. "When teachers are empowered, the educational system transforms, and the nation thrives," he added.
In his closing remarks, the Executive Director expressed gratitude to CNECOF INTERNATIONAL’s partners for their unwavering support of the school’s mission to empower orphans and less privileged children. "Your support allows us to sustain our vision even in the face of economic challenges," he noted.
