A Day of Unforgettable Generosity for the Evangelical Reform Church of Christ in Nasarawa State
The entire Evangelical Reform Church of Christ (ERCC) in Nasarawa State will remember January 5th, 2025, as a day marked by immense generosity and kindness. On this day, one of their devoted worshippers, a renowned community leader, and philanthropist, Chief Amb Isaac Ali Kigbu JP (Turaki Duglu, Dan Iya Akeleku, and the Maradi Koro-Kuje), made a monumental donation to the church at ERCC Victory Land, Ombi 2, Lafia.
The generous donations included:
Four (4) Buses for church activities and evangelism.
Wrappers and Cartons of Maggi for over 150 widows.
Six (6) Sewing Machines to empower individuals and promote self-sufficiency.
Three (3) Sumo 5kva Generators for the church's operational needs.
Three (3) Sets of Hair Dryers to support members in their personal businesses.
Scholarships for Forty-five (45) Orphans, with each receiving N100,000.
A Cash Donation of N50,000 to ten (10) individuals in need.
150 Bags of Rice (10 kg each) to support families and the community.
Speaking while presenting these donations, Chief Amb Isaac Ali Kigbu, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Isaac Kigbu, expressed his deep commitment to the church and the community. He acknowledged the challenges faced by various groups within the church, particularly during evangelistic missions. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts to support these initiatives, especially when it comes to spreading the Word of God in rural and hard-to-reach areas. He urged all well-meaning members of the church and community leaders to come together in supporting these causes, as it is ultimately the work of the Lord.
Mrs. Sarah Isaac Kigbu, adding her voice to her husband's speech, encouraged mothers to show love and kindness to everyone God places in their path. She reminded the congregation of God's commandment to "Love one another as Christ loved the church," a message she holds dear as her personal family slogan (GYIKLOGYI).
The President of ERCC, Very Rev. Dave Denji, who was present during the ceremony, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous donations. While commissioning the buses and other items, he prayed for God's blessings upon Chief Amb Isaac Ali Kigbu and his family, asking for wisdom, grace, and mercy to continue their impactful work. The ERCC President, visibly overwhelmed with joy, led the entire congregation in a jubilant chorus of praises and thanksgiving to God for this extraordinary act of benevolence.
This day of giving will forever be etched in the hearts of all present, as the church and community united in gratitude for such a profound demonstration of love and charity.
