I want to show you how I walk in faith. When I’m not sure about something, I keep praying in the Spirit.

You see, the very fact that you are not sure is an indication that your time in the closet is not yet complete. If you are still uncertain, then you need to spend more time in the place of prayer. Because it is the rhema of God—the specific utterance of God—that imparts faith into your spirit.

For example, you may be praying, “Lord, give me New York. Father, give me New York. Is it not written that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein? New York belongs to You. Give it to me to manage for You. I’ll be Your manager. I’ll make sure the gospel of the Kingdom is preached and men are drawn into the Kingdom. Give me New York!”

And you keep praying. Don’t stop until there is a rhema.

Whatever kind of business you are involved in, you can bring it before God. You can say, “Lord, I need the greatest market share. I want what You have given me to grow. Show me how to profit with You.” Keep praying. Sometimes it may take four months. Keep at it until God speaks.

Faith men are hunters of the promise of God. They are looking for God’s commitment. Because if God has not committed Himself to something, there is no basis for faith.

Don’t just pick one scripture, or two scriptures, and conclude, “This is what God has said,” and then move immediately. You may be moving based on the logos—the written Word—but you still need a rhema.

Faith comes by a rhema, not merely by logos.
I can take the Scriptures and use them as strong reasons to present my case before God. But I will remain in the place of prayer until I receive feedback—until God makes a specific commitment to me. That is when faith is born.

Look at the way the Scripture says it: “Faith cometh.” Faith is on a journey. You have found a Scripture that gives you a basis to approach God. You are presenting your case, and faith is coming. So don’t leave the place of prayer while faith is still coming.

Stay there until faith comes.

And when faith comes, what form does it take? It comes as a rhema.

Maybe you are dealing with a situation in your body and you need healing. I can tell you how I approached it. I kept praying in tongues. I reminded God of His Word: “You were wounded for my transgressions, bruised for my iniquities; the chastisement of my peace was upon You, and by Your stripes, I was healed.”

I kept praying. I kept praying. And then, at some point, God gave me a rhema. That was when I began to speak with certainty. It was rhema.
You don’t always need to change your location to change your circumstance. You need to allow faith to come.

Stay long enough in the place of prayer until faith comes.
