Today marks the 1st of Muḥarram, which means it is the beginning of the new Islamic year.

‎Did you know?
The start of the Islamic calendar was set by ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه, who based the first year when the Prophet ﷺ migrated (made Hijrah) from Makkah to Madīnah.

As we embark on the journey of the Islamic New Year 1445 AH, may it bring us closer to our faith and deepen our connection with Allah.

Make this blessed day of Eid, a renewal of our faith in our heart & actions, a day of repentance & day to get closer to You.

O Allah accept our sacrifices, fulfill our dua’as with your Kun Faya Kun and help us to keep our heart firm on worshipping only You continually, Amin.

In these best days of Dhul Hijjah, keep your tongue moist with His Remembrance and your heart at worship with simple acts of worship.

The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the most virtuous days of the year, in which Allah (swt) has blessed his Ummah with opportunities to multiply their rewards through His infinite Mercy.

These days are so sacred that Allah swears an oath by them.

'By the dawn; by the ten nights' -The Noble Qur'an, 89:1-2

Make this blessed day of Eid and Jummah, a day of renewal of our faith in our heart & actions, a day of repentance & day to get closer to You.

Forgive our sins, those which we commited knowingly & the ones we commited out of ignorance. May we never lose hope in Your Mercy. Aameen.

O Allah! take me closer towards Your pleasure, keep me away from Your anger and punishment, grant me the opportunity to recite Your verses of the Qur'an, by Your Mercy.

Allah! make my fasts, the fasts of those who fast sincerely, and my standing up in salaah,of those who stand up in salaah obediently, awaken me in it, from the sleep of the heedless, and forgive me my sins, Amin.
